There’s not much to say about this perfume. It lacks a bit of modernity, probably due to the vetiver. You can tell it’s reminiscent of 4711, that classic style. The longevity and projection leave much to be desired. I think the only way to make it noticeable is to wear it all day. As I said, it’s a classic aroma with a dated touch. Many green notes come through. I’d say it’s perfect for spring and summer.

  • At first, it didn’t convince me, especially in winter, but now in summer, it’s a different story: the projection and longevity have improved immensely. It smells like Encre Sport mixed with that Puig Vetiver that’s no longer available.

  • I barely gave it a sniff on my wrist and fell in love; my girlfriend nearly ate me raw because it’s so addictive. If it’s any good, I showered at the beach and hours later, it was still projecting.

Adolfo Domínguez Agua Fresca Vetiver is a woody, fresh, and aromatic fragrance. After trying several vetiver options, this one proved very pleasant to me. The opening is citrusy, though the vetiver is present from the very beginning. Initially, it smells a bit mature, but it softens quickly and becomes wearable for any age. The scent is very agreeable and is available at an accessible price. A good alternative for vetiver lovers. Moderate longevity of 6 to 7 hours with moderate projection.

Adolfo Dominguez Agua Fresca Vetiver is a woody, fresh, and highly aromatic fragrance. I’ve tried several vetiver notes, and this one is particularly pleasant. The opening is slightly citrusy, but the vetiver takes over from the first spray. Initially, it smells a bit mature, but it softens over time and becomes wearable for almost any age. The scent is very agreeable, and it’s available at an accessible price. A good alternative for vetiver lovers. The longevity was moderate, around 6 to 7 hours, with moderate projection too.

  • I hope no one takes offence, but this vetiver is the best I own, not even mentioning niche perfumes. It’s not boring; its ingredients blend very positively.

  • I hope no one takes offence, but this vetiver is the best I own, not even compared to niche fragrances. It’s not boring; its ingredients blend together in a very positive way.

  • It has far exceeded my expectations. It’s ultra-fresh with an indefinite citrus opening, nothing concrete like lemon or bergamot, very similar to the original but smelling fantastic. As it dries down, the vetiver appears clear, green, and unsmoky, mixed with soft citrus for a clean, portable scent with a sharp presence for hours. Longevity is moderate, around 4-6 hours without a huge sillage, but you can definitely smell it from a distance if you’re close enough. Ideal for daily wear or the office given its price and versatility. It’s not for purists seeking the density of Guerlain or Tom Ford, but it’s excellent for beginners to the note or simply for smelling good. I’m delighted to have found a low-cost fragrance that has surprised me so much.

  • It has exceeded my expectations. Very fresh, with an indefinite citrus opening (doesn’t smell like bergamot, lemon, etc.). Very similar to the original; it smells good. As it dries, the vetiver appears, clearer and more defined than expected, green and not smoky, mixed with soft citrus, very clean and portable, but with notable and crisp presence for hours. The performance isn’t spectacular; it lasts 4-6 hours without a huge trail, but the important thing is that it’s noticeable clearly. It’s clean, neat, and fresh. I wouldn’t recommend it to purists seeking density like Guerlain or Tom Ford, but for beginners or for smelling good, it’s superb. Perfect for daily wear and the office, excellent price, and very versatile. I’m glad to speak well of a low-cost fragrance that has pleasantly surprised me.

Before discussing Agua Fresca Vetiver, I should mention it has a great similarity to Encre Noire by Lalique (both classic and sport versions). On YouTube, it’s rated as enormous quality at an economic price, but in my country, it’s expensive, so this Adolfo Domínguez version is a gem few know about. It’s a delicious, damp, exuberant vetiver that evokes a wet, cold forest. Although it’s designed for heat, I wear it in cold or rainy weather. Two hours of projection and six hours of longevity for a bargain price. I love it.

Before discussing Adolfo Domínguez Agua Fresca Vetiver, I must mention another fragrance with great similarity in my nose: the famous Encre Noire by Lalique, both the classic and Sport versions. Although YouTube calls it incredible quality for the price, in my country it’s very expensive, which is why this Adolfo Domínguez one is an unknown gem. It’s a delicious, wet, exuberant vetiver that evokes a damp, cold forest. Although it’s designed for heat, I use it on cold or rainy days. Two hours of projection and six hours of longevity for a ridiculous price. I love this fragrance.

  • Dark, damp, mossy, waxy, and mature scent at first. Most people say I smell like my grandfather or father, but I like it. As it dries down, it becomes creamy and slightly sweet. It’s different and interesting, elegant without being excessively sophisticated. I see it as formal and pleasant. Lasts a long time, projects quite well, and the price-to-quality ratio is excellent.

  • Adolfo Domínguez Agua Fresca Vetiver: from the fresh water line, it’s the one that most resembles the original. The difference is that it’s earthier and damper due to the accentuated vetiver. It’s well-executed, not annoying or overpowering, just right for a total herbal touch. For me, it’s a mature perfume; if you like the original but notice everyone else is wearing it, this is your perfume because it’s more original and surprising. Ideal for daily wear or an elegant date; it adds great personality. If you enjoy green and earthy scents, this is your perfume. A wonderful essence.

  • I bought the 60ml for $20 and already regret not grabbing the 120ml. It smells so fresh, herbal, like a clean and confident man. It’s not for young people; I see it as 30+. I don’t know pure vetiver, but this smells fine and delicious. Highly recommended.

  • I bought the 60ml for 20 dollars and already regret not grabbing the 120ml. It smells so fresh, herbal, and like a clean, confident man. It’s not for young kids; I see it more for people aged 30 and above. I don’t know pure vetiver, but this smells refined and delicious. Highly recommended.

  • I was looking for something neutral and woody, as I usually prefer sweet feminine fragrances. A friend recommended this to me, and although she didn’t like it, I thought it would suit me. When I smelled it, I knew it was what I was searching for. On the skin, over time, I liked it more and aldehydic notes emerged. Super versatile for use and occasion; I consider it unisex (the bottle doesn’t clarify). Definitely one of my favourites; it smells clean and reminds me of wild thyme.

  • A proper must-have. Decent longevity and an intoxicating scent. Pity they’re discontinuing it for the new Vetiver Terra, which I own and find more commercial and less innovative (like bamboo with steroids). One of the few scents I use purely for personal enjoyment.

Beautiful Agua Fresca Vetiver, the best in the Adolfo Domínguez collection: fresh, clean, herbal, and delicate with good performance and value. I always check for sales to add to my collection; ideal for everyday wear. Projects well, maybe you need to reapply occasionally, but it’s not necessary; it nails the minimalist aesthetic. Perfect for travel, countryside, or the city. Initially masculine, but a confident woman can wear it without issue. The bottle is beautiful and adorns any space. My only doubt is whether the 60ml is truly 60ml; it looks a bit small, but it’s a minor detail. Would I buy it again? Yes, a great success at a good price.

Agua Fresca Vetiver: super comfortable and versatile; the bottle is lovely with that forest freshness. The vetiver is well-crafted, a delightful note that adds freshness, elegance, and herbal nuances. If you’re looking for something with personality, style, super versatility, and longevity, this is it. In Colombia, you can get it at Falabella at a great price: $20 (60ml) and $40 (120ml). Cheers.

  • I see some say it resembles Encre Noire Sport. Honestly, they’re as different as chalk and cheese. Encre Noire Sport is a marine variant of the original. This eau fraîche has vetiver as its main note, whereas in Encre Noire Sport it’s far less perceptible.

Metallic and smoky vetiver with a woody base and lavender. If you let it dry down, it feels rough and very woody. I think it’s good for daily wear and is quite overrated on Fragrantica.

  • You can tell Ramón Monegal’s hand in it. It’s a vetiver that moves from clean to earthy, from one extreme to the other. With lavender and woods, it’s versatile for any weather and occasion. Any vetiver lover will adore it. Lasts easily eight hours (if applied generously, as you should with most EDTs) with a projection of a metre that holds for three hours. They say it’s overrated, but my experience says the opposite: it’s worth more than its price. I’m already looking for a backup bottle before they reformulate or water it down, which is the same thing.

  • Vetiver is my strong suit. As a vintage enthusiast, I feel at home with this accord. This Agua Fresca Vetiver by AD is one of the best I’ve tried. It smells exactly what it is: vetiver. Fresh, herbal, luminous, like a meadow in full sun, ideal for daytime. It doesn’t smell like old Guerlain vetiver, nor as sophisticated as Encre Noire, nor like cheap green cologne. It’s just right and balanced, something hard to find nowadays since production has shifted to the new Vetiver Tierra de Adolfo Domínguez, which is dreadful. Compared to that release, this smells like a niche fragrance.

  • I love it, but it lacks staying power and sillage. The vetiver, fine woods, and a hint of pepper are noticeable. It’s rich, almost sophisticated yet simple, reminiscent of a Bauhaus house. Perfect for spring. 8/10

  • It’s an aroma to savour, a rich vetiver with floral and citrus touches. It suits mature people well. The longevity and projection are moderate, which I don’t like, only a few hours. Although I liked it, I don’t recommend buying it without trying it first.

  • Retro, clean, masculine and elegant aroma, ideal for people aged 35 and above, or even for a confident woman. Undoubtedly very pleasant. What a shame about the performance: my bottle doesn’t last long and the trail is limited; you have to reapply after three hours.

  • Austriacopitecus

It’s a simple, super-functional vetiver. The opening is potent and very fresh, with citrus notes. Little fantasy, but lots of charm. A pity that Adolfo Domínguez has replaced it with the new Vetiver Terra; although I like it, it doesn’t occupy the same niche as its predecessor.

  • I bought it because I’d been reading about Adolfo Domínguez’s Agua Fresca range for a while but didn’t know which to choose. In the shop, I was told it was a discontinued bottle I wouldn’t find again. I considered Citrus Cedro or Vetiver Terra, but I leaned towards this because Cedro seemed too unisex and too lemony. This perfume (packaged in 2017) is my first green/earthy scent and it drove me wild. Clean, woody with a citrus touch and an equilibrium that captivates. Very masculine and full of personality. It’s screaming at me to pick it up while I search for a profile outside of perfumes that everyone likes. I hope to compare it with the new Vetiver Terra and wish it’s just as good.

  • If you dislike scents that assault your nostrils and give you headaches, this is a nightmare. It smells strongly of shrubbery and blocks you out within seconds. It’s the typical kind that makes people wrinkle their noses and furrow their brows, for men who think women like it when they smell very strong. These are the ones that knock people over just by walking past them.
