Batch 08/2021: At first, it smells a bit of alcohol, but then a super green, aquatic bamboo emerges. For the first 15-20 minutes, the bamboo dominates and the aquatic notes recede slightly. After half an hour, the water becomes subtle and lingers in the base, while the bamboo fades gradually. It leaves a very green and woody trail with an amber touch at the end. You can smell a bit of jasmine; it adds cleanliness, but it’s supportive. I don’t detect the cotton flower at all (I probably wouldn’t be able to identify it anyway). In summary, it smells very green and clean. Longevity: On my skin, it lasts 4-5 hours if you ask nicely. On clothes, it lasts a bit longer, but it’s not extraordinary. Sillage: Very faint; noticeable at 1.5m (with wind) for the first 30-45 minutes, then lasts about 2 hours before losing strength and staying close to the skin. On clothes, it holds better, but still not much; I recommend applying more to get the 5 hours I mentioned. Age: Suitable for everyone; it’s unisex, though the woody bamboo notes lean slightly towards men. Season: Ideal for spring and summer in non-hottest areas. Time of day: Mornings and afternoons; it lacks the strength and personality for the evening. Occasions: Given its performance and scent, I recommend it for daily wear, walking, shopping, etc. (For some reason, I feel the green scent suits going to the countryside, the beach, or nature perfectly). Value for money: 6.5/10; the scent is good, clean, and fresh, but the performance keeps it in a very low place or limits many uses. It seems expensive for what it gives, although if it were a Christmas present, I wouldn’t recommend buying it unless you try it and fall in love (which I see as difficult since it’s discontinued). Conclusion: A short perfume, but it delivers.

I was gifted this perfume a couple of years ago; personally, I don’t like it much. I find it very synthetic, like an air freshener. It’s not unpleasant; it’s a scent that fulfils its purpose and I don’t think anyone would reject it. However, I have the bottle almost full. I stick with Bamboo Water, which I would buy again, but that one is also discontinued.

Then I discovered Bamboo, which could be described as a more concentrated version where the main characteristics are intensified. It remains clean, light, and charming, but here the bamboo takes the lead, relegating the soapy nuance to the background. It is, undoubtedly, a simple fragrance, like many from Adolfo Domínguez. However, it has a special charm, with a discreet magnetism that makes it an irresistible option for everyday wear. With this fragrance, you will smell good, smell clean, with a balanced mix of green and marine notes. The most notable thing is that it manages to convey that sensation of freshness without resorting to citrus, something common in many successful fragrances. That is where its true uniqueness lies: a clean and distinctive aroma that combines green and marine notes without depending on citrus.

Despite being a woman, I have often used this fragrance. I love bamboo in almost all its versions, and in this case, it is well executed, although eventually it gets buried in amber. I prefer it to the feminine version from the same house.

An absolute must-have for any personal first-aid kit. I’ve been wearing it for years; although it can get a bit boring with overuse, I always fully reconcile with it when I put it on again after a break. Many people start their perfume journey with Hugo Boss or Versace Pour Homme, but I started with this Bamboo. Are there better fragrances, with a superior scent, more originality, or better performance? Of course. But Bamboo possesses extreme and unsurpassable versatility: that crazy, chaotic blend of something fresh and deep, citrusy and woody, with subtle green notes that emerge unpredictably and dry down into a velvety texture, with a touch of amber that makes it special. As a result, you never look bad in any situation. From the most casual to your cousin’s wedding, from a chilly afternoon in Soria to the most suffocating day in July in Madrid. From feeling good while young with something elegant to feeling appropriate while older. Neither the most elitist nor the most punk with black trainers will turn their nose up at smelling you. It’s true that it’s not designed to stand out; it’s designed to never fail and wins massively on short distances. For dates? Absolutely. No fragrance has generated so many compliments. I recommend it to anyone who wants one or two perfumes, to those on a tight budget who want to play it safe, or to those who don’t want to complicate their lives. Two or three sprays after a shower and you’re perfumed with good taste without thinking about it for every situation. Smelling good and comfortable with yourself. A sensation of freshness but also of being well-wrapped. One of the few I own that I rush to replace when the bottle runs out. Performance: 8, quite decent for the price; the 6-7 hours are its own. Scent: 8. Versatility: 10. Even with the early reformulation, it’s still worth it. It had its moment of mass popularity, but today it’s an original treasure that adds uniqueness. In my opinion, today it has better performance and is more current than the AD Fresh Water, playing in a much superior league. I hope AD doesn’t discontinue it and replace it with Bamboo Vanilla or something similar; Bamboo should always be a separate entity with its own personality, earned after so many years and joys for two or three generations of daily users, raising the refinement and good taste of the common man. 💚

I had some bottles gifted to me years ago and got hooked at first. It smells of clogged drains, sea, and something green with leather notes, but on hot skin, I detected an egg-like accord. I deduce it’s due to the calone, which gives that effect in perfumes like D&G Light Blue. It’s a distinct and uncommon scent, risky to buy blindly. Performance: 5-6 hours, average to low projection. Avoid extreme cold, but especially heat; autumn is its moment. Price: fair.

A slightly alcoholic and chaotic opening that calms down in minutes. Very citrusy and herbal at the start, then its middle phase becomes talc-like, musky, and super clean. It maintains that fresh style and sea reminder almost all the time, leaving only a rich amber halo. It’s a fresh, adult, and warm scent, distinct from standard summer scents: it’s not sweet or fruity, so I wouldn’t recommend it for young people. I see it as formal but wearable at any time. I liked it a lot; it doesn’t resemble the Vetiver Terra from the same house (which I adore); this one is more bitter and adult at the start. The longevity isn’t great, so I’d wear it in a perfume bottle if possible.

I received it as a gift and it smells soft and pleasant. I don’t detect the bamboo, but I do sense something green and floral that ends sweetly. It lasts 4-5 hours on skin and projects little, less than an hour. It’s not my first choice, but if you don’t know what to put on, it works well because it’s soft. Ideal for autumn and spring.

At first, I couldn’t stand it and gifted it to my dad, who finished the bottle and told me he loved it, so I bought it again. Here it gets very hot, between 29 and 38 degrees, so I only used it on cool days. It’s an amber and musky embrace, nothing feminine; my girlfriend loved to snuggle up to me to smell me. I only wore it if it was under 26 degrees. I didn’t buy it again because now I use the 212 VIP Smiley for the heat, but today, with what’s left in the Bamboo bottle, I’d honestly change the Smiley for this again.

They gifted it to me and I was surprised. Although many have said bad things, I only say that I like the scent (semi-sweet) and it lasts perfectly for eight hours on my skin. I must try other proposals from this brand.

To me, it doesn’t smell green or gourmand. It’s aquatic with calone and a creamy synthetic amber touch that sweetens it without being cloying. The price is brilliant. I don’t detect bamboo or flowers, but rather a spring breeze with the warmth of amber. Although the notes don’t list heather, I do smell it. It’s a pleasant all-rounder: neither groundbreaking nor trying to be. Performance is moderate, poor longevity, you need to be close. It smells good, and the best thing is the price. Ideal for a young guy with a jeans and t-shirt style, better for daytime. It doesn’t stand out at night. Ramon Monegal, an expert in Mediterranean touches, has done a good job. Young and extroverted, that’s this perfume.

Not very fresh in this fragrance; at first you notice some freshness, but it quickly turns sweet and woody, with aftershave and barbershop undertones. Very masculine. To give you an idea, it’s like a softer, creamier version of One Million, with green and barbershop touches, though it doesn’t smell old. The aroma seems very good and pleasant, especially in winter. It makes an impression; it seems soft but leaves a trail. On my skin it lasts about 8 hours: good performance for the first 2 hours, then it stays closer to the skin but maintains a trail until the fifth hour, where it’s skin scent. For the price, the performance is very good. I find it more suitable for winter and cool climates, as it wraps you like a scarf; in summer with heat it can be cloying. I use it for being with a partner, dates, meeting friends, or going out at night. It has a seductive character that goes unnoticed. I think it suits any age, but it suits people from 25 upwards better.

“Strong green”. I don’t know why it’s compared to Armani Code; it has no similarities. The bamboo note predominates, which prevents the fresh notes from showing (in fact, I found better versatility in winter). Good price-quality ratio, but I don’t think many will repurchase, despite being accessible, as it lacks the versatility for everyday wear or a special occasion fragrance. It can be quite annoying in a romantic context. Scent: 5 / Quality: 6 / Longevity: 7 / Projection: 7 / Versatility: 4.

When I apply it, the opening is as if the scent of a product called “OFF” comes out, mixed with a sweet aftershave. The smell is pleasant; I find it soapy, sweet and synthetic, but it doesn’t say much more. The price is accessible, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

It’s a relatively economical fragrance, lasts long enough and doesn’t project much, ideal for romantic encounters, for gifting, or for blind buys, as it’s easy to appreciate and wear. It’s really comfortable and pleasant. It brings compliments because it’s easy to please everyone if they’re at a relatively close distance.
