Descripción
Ambra Gadir by Darkbeat Parfums is an oriental spicy creation designed for men and women. Launched in 2022, this fragrance was composed by perfumer José M. Giraldo. Its olfactive structure unfolds with a vibrant combination of raspberry, cardamom and mandarin in the top note. The heart of the composition reveals the elegance of orange blossom interwoven with the distinctive character of tobacco. In the base, the fragrance settles on a warm and deep foundation formed by labdanum, amber, oud wood, balsam of Peru, galbanum, vanilla, musk and sandalwood.

Like other Darkbeat perfumes, these broths are for people with ‘certain patience’, far from the speed of usual alcohol and citrus. When I wear these, it’s just for me, without thinking about temperature or time, only if I’m alone or with people. When I smell them, I stop controlling the notes and surrender to enjoyment, letting them highlight, fade or return. Lacking more tries of ‘Ambra Gadir’, I say the raspberry removes seriousness and heaviness, giving joy, a success. The tobacco is noticeable soon. Darkbeat invites you to take a few seconds, set an intention and surrender to what the broth wants, with just a hedonistic desire to live it and make the day better.
A distinct interpretation of the amber I’ve smelled. On my skin, it smells of light patchouli, surely due to pH. It has personality, is pleasant and soft despite being woody, animal and oriental, ideal for autumn and winter. The blend of woods, fruits and amber is notable and leaves a beautiful halo. The elegance of Ambra Gadir remains; it doesn’t become heavy or lose transparency. Persistence isn’t huge for an amber, perfect for intimacy, sweetened by vanilla and tolu, made sensual by sandalwood. I’d call it a fresh amber: comfortable, weightless and unique. Definitely unisex, a term I don’t love but which works. Thanks for letting me try another demonstration of your talent.
As others say, it’s a different amber. I smell a lot of spice, almost cinnamon from the blend. The orange blossom is a white floral but animalic, heightened by the Civera, giving a dirty touch. The raspberry adds sweetness and is pleasing, perhaps due to the mix with cardamom. Performance is excellent. It doesn’t project much, is versatile and easy to wear, but lasts well and creates a quasi-mystical aura. Totally recommended for amber lovers, especially for the price. Congratulations Darkbeat.
On my skin, Ambra Gadir is indolic, animal and sensual, a dirty and original amber for mysterious nights. It opens sweet with juicy raspberry and smoked tobacco, hinting at the floral orange blossom and animal notes. The raspberry balances the dirtiness and makes it wearable. It evolves into a warm, light vanilla amber. Moderate trail, lasts 6 hours. The packaging is luxurious: metallic box, cord, bead and velvet pouch with a minimalist bottle. Perfect for my collection and those naughty nights. Wear as an intimate trail or reapply for the more dangerous parts. Congratulations Darkbeat. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Trail 6/10, Value for money 7.5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 8/10. Might buy again.
At first, it smells of orange blossom, mandarin, cardamom and tobacco, super elegant and vintage. As it dries down, the labdanum shines with all its nuances: sweet, woody, fruity and animalic. A proper stunner.
You can really tell the great work that went into this fragrance. It feels very ambered and natural, with a restrained sweetness of raspberry and that characteristic dustiness of the house. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter, with vanilla and a pleasant oud. It’s different; impossible not to like it. No stage suits me better, ideal for all year round except in the heat. Lasts 6/7 hours, projects well and is versatile. Well done.
You can really sense the evolution and the craftsmanship behind this fragrance. At first, it’s very amber with a restrained raspberry sweetness that makes it powdery and natural, reminiscent of that Darkbeat dust (laughs), a signature of the house. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter, less fresh, with vanilla and a lovely oud. It’s impossible not to like it; there isn’t a single stage I don’t adore. It’s different and one of my favourites from all I’ve tried. It’s not suitable for hot weather, but it works all year round. It’s incredibly versatile, lasting over six or seven hours with perfect projection. Well done.
Out of the five I’ve tried from Darkbeat, this is my favourite so far. Curious fact: it’s the one that has garnered the most compliments from men.
An autumnal dream, simply beautiful.
