  I adore rose perfumes, and this is one of the most original I’ve encountered. To the classic blend of rose, leather and musk, they add citrus and amber notes, bringing it closer to Amouage’s Lyric. The key is the mint, very prominent at the start, giving it an unprecedented character: an intense yet fresh rose. Despite its freshness, it’s opulent and nocturnal. It reminds me of Mischino’s Toyboy, but fresher, more citrusy and less spiced. A great alternative for rose lovers. Scent: 10, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7, Versatility: 9, Originality: 10, Overall: 9.5.

  The most natural roses I’ve smelled in a long time… It’s as if you’ve picked some petals and are rubbing them between your hands. I also detect leather in the opening. Well done on this creation, Darkbeat!

  Darkbeat’s compositions never leave you indifferent. Their beauty lies in surprising the nose. Disconcerting, curious, fresh and citrusy opening with lots of mint and a resinous hint. At first, I didn’t like it; I thought it would be the first by José Manuel I wouldn’t enjoy. But once the opening passes, the rose appears: natural, dense, dark, almost spiced and bolstered by leather. It’s elegant, nocturnal, seductive, sexy, powerful and unisex. Noticeable trail, 8-9 hours. For me, not very versatile, only for going out at night, though I’m sure it suits more occasions. I wish I had someone to seduce so I wouldn’t waste this marvel. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Projection 8/10, Versatility 5/10.

At first, I didn’t like it; I thought it would be the first José Manuel fragrance I wouldn’t enjoy. But as the opening faded, the rose emerged: natural, dense, dark, almost spiced and reinforced by leather. It’s elegant, nocturnal, seductive, sexy, powerful and unisex. Noticeable trail, lasting 8-9 hours. For me, not very versatile, suitable only for going out at night, though I’m sure it fits more occasions. I wish I had someone to seduce so I wouldn’t waste this wonder. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Trail 8/10, Versatility 5/10.

After 15 minutes, as it dries down, an incredible rose emerges: musky, with a subtle salty note that dominates the fragrance. I don’t detect leather, but rather a soft, woody oud. Skin longevity: around 7 hours.

  Royal rose, green and fresh, with accords that make it beautiful… yet I still can’t call it my favourite. It’s feminine, sensual and elegant. I’d love to like it more, but I don’t. Ideal for intermediate seasons, formal events and evenings. Lasts wonderfully.
