Ambre Lumiere by Molinard is an oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2014, this composition features eucalyptus, coriander, almond and lemon (sour lime) in its top notes. The heart unfolds with amber, ylang-ylang and rose, while the base settles with balsam of Peru, benzoin, patchouli, musk and vetiver.

A sweet amber that shines and lingers on my skin, with the almond note really standing out. It has nothing to do with the amber from the same brand, which is more herbal due to the lavender, neither in the opening nor the dry down. On the skin, its evolution reminds me a lot of Armani’s Ambre Écossique and even Kurkdjian’s Grand Soir. I recommend trying it if you’re an amber lover and have a physical store nearby. It’s not a risky blind buy: it’s warm, sweet, enveloping, persistent, and very easy to enjoy and wear.
Another gem from Molinard! A richness of amber, one of my favourites. It smells incredible, a totally unisex composition. What a brilliant job this niche brand does, simply chapeau! It’s a mix of vintage and high-quality perfumerie de parfum, because there’s plenty of that around. Very spiced, ambered, musky, oriental and millimetrically spicy. If you have a bottle, congratulations, you have a treasure. One of the most valued… hard to find, perhaps already discontinued. Longevity: moderate, no; the next thing.
