The composition moves from a bright spiced-citrus opening towards an incense-led heart and a balsamic woody dry-down.
Opening notes of saffron, ginger, cumin, wormwood and Chinese orange feel taut and aromatic, with fresh spice and citrus set against drier warmth.
At its core, incense and frankincense olibanum dominate, framed by rose, immortelle and labdanum. The rose stays restrained, adding texture rather than sweetness, while resins build a smoky amber character.
Sandalwood, cedar, tonka bean, liquorice, musk and labdanum form the base. The woods lend a firm dryness, softened just enough by tonka and liquorice to avoid any gourmand turn.
The broader impression is smoky, amber-like, woody and balsamic, lifted by cool and warm spicing alongside powdery and citrus hints. Contemplative in mood rather than opulent.
