  Like Retrofuturist, my first perfume, I remember an innocent floral aroma; I hope someone does a detailed review. I’m looking for it on Amazon these days. I’ll let you know.

  Well, I hadn’t thought of childhood fragancies in ages, so I decided to order this Barbie cologne from Amazon. It was cheap with sweet floral notes, so I thought I’d be lucky. It arrived and I was super excited, but I realised I was very wrong; the scent has nothing to do with what I remembered. At first, it smells like Kaiak by Natura, with a strong alcohol note mixing citrus like bergamot and grapefruit. As the alcohol settles, it becomes fresher and aquatic, giving a green and spicy impression. In the dry down, I detect musk and a soapy cleanliness. It’s soft, lacks intensity, and nothing comes close to the doll I expected; perhaps I’m confusing it with another one. However, I don’t regret it because, being light, it might serve as a room freshener.
