It’s an Eau Fraîche that performs like a Toilette, ideal for spring-summer. It smells like classy sunscreen, perfect for the day but with an elegant touch. The opening is citrusy and potent, then it softens to reveal the tiare, jasmine, orange blossom, and magnolia, with a base of coconut, light vanilla, woods, and a smoky touch of myrrh. Imagine a bouquet of flowers over a coconut with resins and vanilla. I’d place it on Saffron Burrows in Troy: sand, sea, and queenly elegance. It’s lovely if you’re looking for that scent, although the price is high compared to cheaper alternatives. If you fall in love with sunscreen-style perfumes, this is the one for you.
It’s an Eau Fraîche that performs like a Toilette; it smells like ‘summer written,’ ideal for spring-summer, daily but classy. It’s stylish sunscreen, as the name suggests: not for goddesses, but for people with attitude. Projection is medium-to-high at first, then softens as it dries; in my case, it lasts a good two hours and five to six hours in total, quite well, although the price is high and there are cheaper options of the same style. The opening is very citrusy, then the tiare, jasmine, orange blossom, and magnolia emerge (the elegant touch), with coconut and a sweet vanilla trail. As it dries further, woody notes, amber, resins, and a smoky touch of myrrh appear. Imagine a bouquet of tiare, orange blossom, jasmine, and magnolia over a giant coconut, bathed in woods, resins, amber, myrrh, and a thread of vanilla. I’d place it on Saffron Burrows in Andromache of Troy: she lives near the sea, the heat of the sand, and her queenly elegance suits it perfectly, just like the bottle and the name. I recommend it if you love sunscreen scents because they are beautiful, although the price might not match up nowadays with similar alternatives. But if those perfumes enchant you, this is yours.
As a lover of tiare and coconut, this is a must for summer. The opening is citrusy and softens quickly, letting the tiare, magnolia, a hint of lavender, and coconut milk with a certain bitterness shine through, nothing cloyingly sweet. It has a resemblance to Lolita Lempicka’s Elle L’aime, but this Estée Lauder version is fresher, subtler, and less creamy; Lolita’s would be for night, whereas this is for day or late afternoon. The duration on my skin is seven or eight hours with medium-to-high projection for the first two hours, very good performance. It has a youthful elegance, nothing matronly, suitable for any age and even for men.
I’m a fan of tiare and coconut in summer fragrances, and this is pure delight. It starts citrusy but softens instantly, revealing the tiare, magnolia, a hint of lavender, and coconut milk. It’s not a cloyingly sweet coconut but has a certain bitterness that I love. While it reminds me of Lolita Lempicka’s Elle L’aime, the Estée Lauder version is fresher, subtler, and less creamy. I’d say Lolita’s is for summer nights, whereas this is perfect for day or late afternoon. On my skin, it lasts seven or eight hours with medium-to-high projection for the first two hours, so the performance is excellent. It has a youthful elegance, nothing matronly, suitable for any age. Plus, a man can wear it perfectly too.
