  Perhaps there are ingredients we don’t know about, but it is possible that with what they tell us, something magical has happened, turning it into one of the most precious perfumes in my collection. This is how CHURCH BELLS by @leaumaliz has won my heart: an Eau de Parfum that captivates you from the moment you see it until you know it, to then become your second skin for a long time. I find no defined parts; everything emerges little by little, and at every moment we will smell those notes with varying intensity. A wonderful fusion between frankincense, palo santo, beeswax, and birch wood. A smoky scent that fills the space with magic and tranquility, something invisible but palpable, so welcoming that you wish time would stop. An elegant and seductive frankincense that gently melts with its smoke alongside the beeswax, blending its sweetness like when you light a honey candle and all its relaxing heat intensifies the aroma. Everything is so natural that with just closing your eyes, you can imagine how each ingredient mixes on you. The sensation it conveys is that you always feel different smoky nuances. As it develops, the peculiar and intense scent of palo santo appears to warm the perfume more, being very aromatic, full of woody nuances, and always exquisite. The birch wood is what will make the scent last a very long time on the skin, with its warmth and strength, making the honey turn into a velvet caress that you don’t want to separate from you. Exquisitely elegant, long-lasting, and seductive. Here there is not just a perfume, but a sensation, countless memories, and desires to come. An olfactory experience to share with the trail we leave behind.

  Church Bells smells nothing like a church or anything similar. What it truly smells like is beeswax, similar to furniture polish but more persistent, with a subtle and cheerful floral opening. If there is frankincense, it’s barely noticeable at first and doesn’t last. Palo Santo is more of a secondary guest, as if it were the scent of wood burned days ago. What gives it life is that dense, spring-like, luminous wax. It could be called ‘Beekeeper’s Walk’ and would fit better. Nothing liturgical, just peace and the sensation of an Italian village in spring dedicated to honey and wood. It bears a strong resemblance to the wonderful Fleur du Male by Gaultier, that floral, waxy, honeyed blend of pure happiness. It doesn’t last long, but it is enjoyable. The trail is moderate and pleasant if someone comes close to you, especially in the first hour.

What it truly is, is a comfort of beeswax, reminiscent of furniture polish but better, with a subtle floral and slightly tipsy opening. If there is frankincense, it’s barely noticeable at first and doesn’t last long. Palo Santo is more of a secondary guest, or rather, the scent of wood burned days ago, without fire. It’s that dense, spring-like, luminous beeswax that gives it life. It could be called ‘Beekeeper’s Walk’ and would fit better. Nothing liturgical here: just luminous peace and impressions of an Italian village in spring dedicated to honey and carpentry. It bears a strong resemblance to the wonderful, now discontinued Gaultier Fleur du Male. That same floral, waxy, honeyed sensation of pure happiness. The longevity is moderate, not very long, but enjoyable. The trail is moderate and pleasant if someone comes close to you, especially in the first hour.
