Descripción
Coro by Xerjoff is an olfactory creation from the fruity floral family, designed for men and women, marking its debut in 2025. This new fragrance unfolds a scent pyramid where the top notes evoke tropical fruits. The heart of the composition is built upon a sensory triangle of mango, pineapple, and jasmine, while the base offers a warm and enveloping foundation of vanilla, amber, musk, and sandalwood.

It’s the same formula as the 2019 original. The opening hits with a cocktail of juicy tropical fruits that quickly give way to mango and pineapple, accompanied by a floral touch until the sandalwood emerges subtly, which I appreciate. As expected, the typical Xerjoff musk is noticeable. It could be another flanker of Erba Pura, although that one comes across as brash and heavy; Coro isn’t that bomb that floods rooms. Here the proposal is more delicate, intimate and even sensual. Perfect for warm climates. It doesn’t bring anything novel, but it could be the version you were looking for if other fragrances with the same DNA don’t convince you.
Coro is one of those perfumes that captivate from the very first spray. The opening is overwhelming: an intense, juicy, natural fruity explosion with nothing synthetic about it. I was surprised that Xerjoff has refined that opening so much, surpassing even Erba Pura and Erba Gold. Here everything is better integrated, more refined and elegant. What captivates me most is the base: warm, enveloping and addictive, a trail that makes you close your eyes to enjoy it. I would buy it without hesitation… if only the base didn’t remind me so much of Erba Gold, which I already own. And given the price, I prefer to invest in something more distinct. That said, if you don’t have Erba Gold or are looking for a more polished version of that DNA, Coro is a safe bet. It oozes quality all over.
On my skin, the opening of Coro doesn’t convince me: it smells of overripe fruit with jasmine, synthetic and slightly musty, a note I’ve noticed in other fragrances from the brand. It does improve with time as the mango and pineapple take centre stage and become more pleasant. When it dries down, the base of sandalwood and vanilla shines through, which is the best part. It’s nothing flashy, more of a quiet, unpretentious option for the day. It was a blind buy… I wouldn’t buy it again. P.S.: my daughter said it smelled like bathroom perfume hahaha, I think she also picks up on that synthetic tone I get with several of her fragrances.
