I see it as feminine; in mine, the plum and white flowers stand out in the opening, evolution, and dry down, I only notice the raspberry that lingers until the end; I don’t feel patchouli (nothing of that sexy bomb). It’s a fragrance that, although I don’t declare it, feels like a hint of incense that doesn’t convince me, unlike my husband who loved that touch. It’s ideal for cold days and, personally, for a night out in a closed place, perhaps something casual or semi-formal. I recommend decants before buying blind. Sillage: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10, easily about 8 hours, very good. Originality: 7/10.
Ultra-feminine, original and elegant… I don’t see it as sexy, it looks more like an expensive air freshener… it smells like a hotel, in fact I’d say it smells like a spa with incense that is VERY NOTICEABLE to me. Its longevity is spectacular, easily 10 hours… it smells of red fruits, with something fruity, plum, leather and flowers but BEWARE, it’s a truck xd… it’s not for you if you’re looking for something that won’t draw attention. I love its dry down, it leaves a ‘expensive’ little scent… I don’t think it’s versatile… The bottle is luxury. Sillage 8/10, Scent 7/10. NOT FOR BLIND BUY.
🍭 How sweet! For cloudy days… It’s not unpleasant, nor is it a bomb. Ultra-feminine, it reminds me of some caramel I still can’t identify.
To be clear: bad reviews save blind buys that shouldn’t be made, especially as it has happened to me. It is a quality Xerjoff fragrance but smells HORRIBLE. Everyone who said it was room spray was right; it is an air diffuser. The only thing I want to emphasise is that no one ever asks about my perfumes, and today two people did with this: a 45-year-old woman said it was very strong but liked it, and a 40-year-old man found it super strong and hated it, saying it smelled of an old lady. I do not like it at all.
I’ll be direct because I believe bad reviews save blind buys that should have been better considered, and that’s my case. Obviously, it’s Xerjoff quality, but it’s HORRIBLE to me. To all those who said it smells like air freshener: you’re absolutely right. It’s an air diffuser. The only thing I want to emphasise is that no one asked me about my perfumes before, and today two people did: a 45-year-old woman said it was very strong but she liked it, and a 40-year-old man said it was super strong and he hated it, saying it smelled like an old lady. I don’t like it at all.
Muse is dense, opulent, unisex but perhaps leaning more towards feminine. It smells of plum, white flowers (to me neroli, but also jasmine), a slightly animalic leather, and a hint of patchouli, with an amber and resinous finish. The accord I like most is the white flowers and the leather. It’s more for cold days and formal occasions, with moderate sillage and a longevity of 9 to 10 hours. Although I enjoy it, I wouldn’t repurchase because it hasn’t won my heart. Scent 7/10, Longevity 9.5/10, Sillage 7.5/10, Value for money 5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? No.
Seeing previous comments about Muse by Xerjoff, I see it’s a misunderstood masterpiece. Muse proposes something different, a fruity path with a strong amber and floral presence. It’s strong, dense, and distinctive, which can make it hard for some to wear. But if you know how to appreciate it, you get something elegant and powerful. Although it’s not Xerjoff’s best—a brand with the world’s finest perfumers—it is definitely not a ‘bad’ fragrance.
Let those who say it smells like air freshener tell me which one, because I need that in my house 😂. Honestly, our perspective changes overnight; when I opened it I thought ‘okay’, but I’ve had it for two months and only tried it today. It’s very atypical; I have nothing similar in my collection, not even from the brand. The plum stands out and is noticeable throughout. You can feel the leather, the amber, the floral, and the raspberry. It’s an atomic bomb in a good way 🤍. For me, it’s a yes and I would recommend it 🔥. Edit: out of all the perfumes I own, this is one of the few I genuinely enjoy. It smells so addictive…
Feels like suede soaked in plum juice, as if you were squeezing it out yourself with your hands. At first, that floral note clings too much and slightly muddies the fruity symphony that is so addictive. The performance is pure Xerjoff, nothing to say about it.
Wet leather soaked in plum juice, as if you squeezed it out yourself by hand. The opening floral note is very insistent and slightly muddies that addictive fruity symphony. The performance is pure Xerjoff.
