Super intense fragrance in the same vein as Accento or Comandante by Xerjoff. Sweet and fruity with a woody, earthy base that fits perfectly. Ten minutes after application, once it settles on the skin, a citrus note emerges mixed with leather and a delicate, subtle ripe rose. It reminds me greatly of those mentioned perfumes; it’s like a football team that only changes the kit but keeps the same foundation and structure. In the mid-phase, it becomes more caramelised, perhaps due to that milky note, though the wood remains strong thanks to a very wearable and non-aggressive oud. In the dry down, only those sweet, creamy earthy chords remain. In short, a no-nonsense fragrance in my view; a cheerful, striking unisex scent ideal for all seasons except extreme heat. I wear it casually and semi-formally; it’s very noticeable with a potent opening that fades until it disappears after ten hours on my skin. If you blend overripe fruits about to spoil, a fleshy rose, and an earthy, wet patchouli, you get Soprano. It is a very original fragrance, but not to everyone’s taste; only for patchouli fans. The evolution is somewhat inconsistent: depending on the temperature, weather, or skin, it changes in one way or another. What you always notice is the patchouli from beginning to end. The fruits and rose mutate as if a Gallic gnome were inside the bottle pressing buttons to emphasise one accord or another. Projection and longevity are moderate to high.

The evolution is capricious: it depends on the weather, temperature, or skin, although the patchouli is noticeable from start to finish. The fruits and rose shift as if a Gallic gnome were inside the bottle pressing buttons to highlight each accord. Projection and longevity are moderate to high.
