Green, with vetiver and cedar at full volume. If you like the Encre Noir line, it is yours; if not, leave it. Very masculine and spectacular.
Starts with a load of incense that settles into a dark vetiver reminiscent of Encre Noir Extreme, closing with a woody base featuring very solid oud notes. It is a totally mature, niche masculine profile: nothing gourmand or unisex sweetness, made for noses that have smelled and are looking for more. It is not the original Encre Noir, but a serious and intense scent like the Lalique line; the vetiver merely passes through as the incense and wood dominate the evolution. It is not a flat, cheap Arabic clone but something complex and refined (and at a bargain price). I don’t know if it copies something I am unaware of, but its performance is correct with good projection and lasting power suited to its DNA. It is a winter or autumn scent for day and night. It is not mainstream, ideal for personal enjoyment or incense and wood collectors; it surprised me and was a shrewd purchase after reading the olfactory pyramid carefully. It could be a hidden gem, but children and teenagers should stay away as it is not their profile. Best wishes.
