I bought it for the interesting notes. Smells of lots of leather, then clear tobacco and a bit of iris. It’s okay, doesn’t seem like a cologne, more like an EDT. It distinguishes only those three notes. Lasts 7 hours, projects half a metre for the first hour and a half, then sticks to the skin. I like it but I’m not sure where to use it. Perhaps for going semi-elegant to the office or university. Worth it.
I wore it on my boyfriend and it smells of leather, tobacco, and iris. The iris gives a powdery, very earthy, bitter, and dark vibe. It’s for a serious businessman who likes whisky. Not for young people. Of the whole line, it’s the most masculine; it doesn’t smell of vanilla or pepper, just wet earth. Very strong, for winter. A good option for gentlemen.
I tried this on my boyfriend and it smells of leather, tobacco, and iris; the iris gives it a dusty touch that makes it very earthy. It’s a bitter, dark scent, perfect for a serious, traditional businessman who fancy a whisky. It’s not for young people; of the whole line, it’s the most masculine. I don’t detect vanilla or pepper, just wet earth. It’s a very strong aroma, a winter scent, a good option for gentlemen.
For me, it’s like a lighter version of Mac’s My Heroine. Easier for everyday wear, slightly sweeter. Less potent and complex, but that makes it more wearable. Without those green juices or the talc of the Mac. I’m a 30-year-old woman; I’m wearing it right now after the supermarket, it’s 23 degrees, and I love it. It’s one of those you have to learn to smell.
What a déjà vu with La Yuqawan by Rassasi! It’s almost identical, even more so than My Heroine by Mac. The Rassasi is linear and lasts longer, with that juicy, rounded, green leather. The Mac cologne turns into a soft floral after 2-3 hours, which is nothing like it. In essence, they are the same, how rich.
It’s a beast on clothes, especially on shirts. Smells of old cardboard, iris, orange, and flowers; every time I wear it, I discover new notes. Don’t forget the cedar. It’s romantic, unisex (70% male). Imagine walking down a French alleyway at dusk, when the wind brings that ozonic scent of dry earth.
I was surprised; I bought it blindly for the good price. It’s an EDT with excellent sillage, a very nice leather that strongly reminds me of Tom Ford’s Ombré Leather; the iris is present but subdued, I personally don’t detect the orange, but I do smell the pepper and musk. Not overly masculine, highly recommended, excellent value for money.
I was surprised; I bought it blindly because of the price. It’s an EDT with good longevity, a very good leather reminiscent of Tom Ford’s Ombré Leather. The iris is present but underneath; I don’t perceive the orange, but I do notice the pepper and musk. Not very masculine. Highly recommended, excellent price-to-quality ratio.
At first, the tobacco hits hard, but then it softens with leather and iris. On my skin, it lasts about six hours with moderate sillage. There’s too much initial tobacco; it would be ideal for winter if it weren’t so noticeable.
The moment you spray it, tobacco and leather hit you hard; after five minutes they blend into something sweet and floral, yet the tobacco and leather remain ever-present. Truly surprising. Clearly very masculine, but it looks great on a woman too. I wouldn’t recommend it in hot weather.
Reminds me of violet sweets, those purple flower-shaped ones. It has good longevity and a moderate trail. It was a blind buy (a costly mistake); the price was incredibly low, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
Did anyone else buy this just because of Carlos Rubio’s review???
On first spray it hits with a strong tobacco note… then soft leather and a touch of iris emerge. It lasts about six hours on my skin with a moderate trail. The opening tobacco is a bit overpowering for me; it would be a great winter choice if it weren’t so prominent.
Where can I get hold of it?
@Adry_slim, you might be able to find it at the John Lewis & Partners if you’re in Spain.
Oh my goodness! What a treat! I absolutely love it… It’s a beautiful, versatile, and unisex perfume: iris with sweet tobacco, soft and delicate leather with great presence (and I love leather), a hint of vanilla and a rich Peruvian balsam scent, well woody and slightly musky. I adore it! It’s seductive, addictive, mysterious, sophisticated, exquisite, elegant, and original; you feel you’re wearing something unique. With my whimsical nature, it conjures up a luxurious Orient Express train: brand new shiny leather armchairs, noble woods, Baccarat crystal vases with iris and roses adding colour; porcelain fountains with vanilla truffles; the scent of chopped and sweet tobacco left by a gentleman on a table, with a backdrop of fresh mountain air and green notes and valley lilies drifting in through a slightly open window. Cuir Iris, although unisex, has a masculine touch that gives it personality and sets it apart from those cloying iris perfumes that bore me. Here there is no sweetness; it’s dry, balsamic, rich in nuances, with a floral heart that blends harmoniously and evolves to become warmer thanks to the vanilla and tobacco. It’s an excellent iris perfume; the pity is that it’s discontinued, but luckily I arrived in time and managed to get several. I’m over the moon, especially because I’d been searching for an iris for ages and none of them appealed to me until this one. The brand L’Atelier des Bois de Grasse (Arthes Group) launched this niche collection of Eau Cologne de Luxe with excellent performance, superior to many EDPs: it lasts about eight hours and has an enveloping trail that you notice in bursts all the time. It can still be found online; if you’re lucky, don’t hesitate, go for it! You won’t regret it, it’s a delight, a whole olfactory experience.

What a pity it’s no longer on the market. After reading reviews, I searched for it and found it on a private seller’s site; I bought two fragrances from the house and must say they are more than acceptable and at a very reasonable price.
Another clone of Tuscan Leather, lacking both longevity and charm… yet another fiasco from letting mediocre YouTubers guide you…
