A fragrance inspired by the founder of Black Sabbath. I’m curious to try it.
Tony Iommi’s younger brother, more wearable and with a unisex touch if you like leather. Here reign rose and leather, a scent totally different from his older sibling. For me, both are jewels; the projection and longevity are beasts with just a few drops. It’s not a commercial fragrance for everyone, nor so challenging, but you’ll fall in love or hate it. To me, it’s a work of art; if you collect, it’s mandatory.
The packaging is a 10/10; Xerjoff never fails, not even the case leather matching the scent perfectly. It’s more versatile than the original, with beastly performance and a unique aroma that’s hard to compare. It’s not for everyone, but that rarity is what makes it attractive and usable. A jewel, a beast. Long life to the father of it all, Tony Iommi.
The packaging is a 10/10; Xerjoff quality is impeccable, even the case leather complements the aroma. It’s a very interesting perfume, superior to the original Monkey Special. I see it as more versatile, with great performance and a unique, original, sparkling scent. It’s not the fragrance of the year for everyone, but that exclusivity is its appeal; it becomes usable and pleasant. In short, a beast. Long life to this niche house and its inspirer, the Godfather of heavy metal, Tony Iommi.
Pure rockstar air: an exquisite blend of rose, leather, and fruit that sounds like freedom.
The patchouli covers everything else, and it’s not a pleasant patchouli; it’s stinging and induces headaches, be careful where you use it because the smell didn’t leave my room for days. If you seek longevity and projection, this is your perfume, but the scent is very unpleasant. 2/10
Strong opening and slightly piercing, where the declared notes shine. Lots of saffron that overwhelms me at first, but the green apple lowers the spicy intensity and is appreciated. As it dries down, the spices relax and a leather scent emerges, which, though not suede, resembles it. The final phase is my favourite: the base apple, the leather, and a very subtle, almost acidic rose. I don’t detect the moss, but something green. It’s elegant, nocturnal, and has a dark touch for formal occasions. It lasts a long time, but the price has gone overboard. I wouldn’t buy it.
Perfume marvel. It’s more oriental than the first Tony Iommi. Ideal for standing out, with very good longevity and sillage.
Patchouli dominates everything and isn’t pleasant; it’s sharp and gave me a headache. Be careful where you use it as the scent lingered in my room for days. If you’re looking for longevity and projection, this is for you, but the smell is very unpleasant. 2/10
Strong and slightly stinging opening, where the declared notes shine. Lots of saffron, which overwhelms me a bit, and green apple, a note that reduces the spicy concentration and is appreciated. As it dries, the spices relax… an aquatic note emerges that, without being suede, resembles it. The final phase is what attracts me most. The apple lingers in the background, the leather as a base and a quasi-acidic, very subtle rose. I don’t notice the moss. There is something green, yes. Elegant fragrance, nocturnal, with a dark touch for formal situations. Lasts many hours. Everything positive except the price… they’ve gone over the limit. I wouldn’t buy it.
Perfume marvel. More oriental than the first Tony Iommi. Perfume to stand out with very good longevity and trail.
I feel that combination of rose and saffron very similar to those in Ombree Nomade by LV. I perceive the leather note more as metallic, feeling a copper aroma… I don’t know, a strident note…
I had read this could be Batman’s perfume, and I think it’s accurate. Deified Tony Iommi is a dark and sophisticated olfactory journey, with a spiced leather heart that grabs from the very start. The combination of saffron, apple and cinnamon gives way to a centre of leather and rose that adds elegance, while the base of papyrus, patchouli, moss and musk closes firmly. It has little to do with Monkey Special, and I think it’s excellent: they are two distinct profiles and two masterpieces within the collaboration between Xerjoff and Tony Iommi.
An elegant, mysterious perfume for use from mid-afternoon to night. At the start, you feel a very fine, spiced sweet apple, highlighting the saffron. Afterwards, it turns into a more androgynous and subtly floral aroma; to me, it feels like sandalwood (though not mentioned) with a touch of rose. The animalic note is very soft because it contrasts with the heart and base. It’s unisex, but for me it’s more masculine, giving a profile of an exclusive-taste businessman. It’s a very elaborate, complex and changing fragrance, very pleasant. Summary: the apple is fresh, spiced and slightly sweet, tending towards the masculine. It smells expensive. Businessman profile. Longevity 10/10, trail 10/10, projection approx. 1 metre. Would I buy it again? I like feminine perfumes, this is for men, so surely he’ll buy it again.
I like its dark profile. It comes out strong, with acidic apple and spicy saffron, gradually moving to an elegant leather with that slight rose touch. That’s where it really shines. A leather that needs to be tamed. Very good performance. Standout.
I like its dark profile. It comes out strong, with acidic apple and spicy saffron, before gradually yielding to an elegant leather with a slight rose touch. That’s where it really stands out. It’s a leather that needs to be handled with care. Very good performance and a clear differentiator.
A dark and elegant masterpiece… seductive, smoky and impactful… it feels like an enigmatic shadow that envelops and hypnotises you… the aroma attracts attention and impresses with a strange nature, making it grandiose. It’s unusual, well combined with high-quality ingredients and surprising notes. Not for daily use, but addictive… for special occasions, and when I wear it, I can’t stop smelling myself… It challenges your senses! It is Dark Angel by Xerjoff. MASTERPIECE.
Evolutionary perfume, high quality and very well achieved. Elegant and totally of Western taste, it’s what you’re looking for when paying for something expensive from Xerjoff. Without the warm, strident, and nocturnal character of the original (which is good), here you find an evolution from a fine, measured rose to a refined, tanned leather. All notes are perceived in their just measure. A sober masculine aroma that calls for smart dressing. It serves during the day without much heat or at night with moderate temperatures, not for extremes, better spring and autumn. Without a doubt, this flanker surpasses its more party-loving older brother (which vibrates like cheap Arab clones, not original in concept, though yes in quality). It deserves a sniff via decant, unfortunately Xerjoff prices select the wallet. Cheers.
Evolutionary perfume, high quality, well-executed and elegant, totally Western taste; this is what you look for when paying big (from Xerjoff). Without the warm, strident, winter-night vibe of the original (which is good), here there is an evolution from a measured, fine rose towards a refined, tanned suede or leather. All notes of the pyramid are perceived in just the right measure; my compliments to the perfumer. Masculine aroma (without that stinging cinnamon of the original), sober, asking for a neat outfit. You can wear it during the day without extreme heat or at night with moderate temperatures; I don’t see it for extremes, better for spring and autumn. Without doubt, and in my opinion as an enthusiast, this flanker surpasses its older, more party-loving brother (understand that Monkey Special vibrates like current cheap Arab clones, it’s not original, I’m not saying anything about quality). It deserves a sniff via decant, as unfortunately Xerjoff prices select the wallet. Greetings.
I won’t deify this perfume…👎🏻 The opening is dominated by leather (smoky-mossy) with lots of saffron and a sweet/jammy rose. The rest are supporting notes. I detected apple at the start, but it’s fleeting. As it dries, the rose disappears, leaving smoky-mossy leather with saffron, which you’ll have to live with until it fades on the skin. It dries very dry. This ‘Deified’ version is different from the original: more nocturnal, formal, dark, and yes, more muted. Blindly, I’d say it’s something Tiziana Terenzi would make. Unisex-masculine, good performance, but limited use. There are perfumes that allow abuse without annoying, but Deified will punish you even with just two extra sprays. You’ll hate it! Good price when dry. I didn’t love it because it’s not new to me; I’m not keeping the perfume, but I am with the song 🎸. There are many smoky-leather scents that outshine Deified without breaking a sweat. Warning: if you don’t like Baccarat Rouge 540, here you’ll find a vibe and trail that will remind you of it. Not everything with saffron is BR 540, nor is everything with pineapple an Aventus. It doesn’t try to copy, but indirectly leads you to that terrain. No thanks, I’m sticking with Monkey Special. Not amore! 🤌🏻
I won’t deify this perfume… The opening is a dominant leather accord (smoky and suede-like) with lots of saffron and a slightly sweet rose. The whole composition revolves around this. I detected a bit of apple at the start, but it’s fleeting. As it dries down, the rose loses prominence and only smoky leather with saffron remains, which you’ll have to live with until it dies. It leaves a very dry impression. This ‘Deified’ version is totally different from the original: more nocturnal, formal, dark, and subdued. If I smelled it blind, I’d say it’s something Tiziana Terenzi would make. Unisex-masculine with good performance, but limited use. There are suede leather perfumes that outshine Deified without breaking a sweat. Warning: if you don’t like Baccarat Rouge 540, you might find in Deified a vibe that will remind you of it. It doesn’t try to copy, but it leads you indirectly to that terrain. No thanks, I’ll stick with Monkey Special. Not amore.
