I was seeking warm autumnal scents: powdery vanillas, amber, creamy florals, and aldehydes. Given the Delphine Jelk notes in the Absolus Allegoria collection, I expected something different. Ambre Samar smells only of tobacco and vanilla (unlisted notes) with excellent longevity. However, as the hours pass, it becomes increasingly masculine and unpleasant.

In Ambre Samar, it smells only of tobacco and vanilla (unlisted notes), with excellent longevity. Over time, it becomes increasingly masculine and irritating.
Another Guerlain masterpiece! Although it lacks honey, the essence is evident everywhere. It feels like a Tobacco Honey or a Tobacco Vanille flanker refreshed for summer. It’s powerful yet has a fresh base that I simply adore.
