I really wanted this, so badly, hoping for coffee, cocoa, hazelnut, lavender, a vintage touch… but no. The opening is an explosion of champagne, grapefruit, and a sweet plum note. After a short while, just minutes, the incense and patchouli begin, yet the grapefruit and champagne remain ever-present. The dry-down, where my disappointment lies, turns into something reminiscent of Micallef’s Red Colorado, meaning a more versatile interlude, at least on my skin.
Totally unisex, though it leans towards masculine. The opening is super citrusy with champagne, and as it dries on my skin, lavender takes over with an earthy touch. Then the fragrance settles, bringing out the incense and woody notes… For me, this isn’t it; I’m a girl and I see this as perfect for an elegant, classy, well-groomed man.
