I tried this perfume today and I absolutely loved it. It projects well, leaves a trail and lasts on the skin. It’s a very fruity and sweet scent that reminds me of red apples and candied roses.
I tried countless perfumes between yesterday and today and this one really took my fancy. My boyfriend fell in love with the scent; it smells like caramelised apples from the festivities. It’s a gorgeous, ultra-feminine gourmand, so I’m sure it will be a new purchase. Ummm, winter is approaching and I’m craving gourmand scents, sweet and feminine. I don’t understand the people who criticise a fragrance just because it’s sweet; it may not be to your taste, but that doesn’t make it horrible, simple or cloying. To each their own; in the diversity of tastes lies the interesting and beautiful fact that everyone can find aromas that define them and make them happy.
It has a powerful trail and longevity; it’s very sweet and acidic at the same time. When you first spray it, it’s too sweet and cloying, with a heavy touch of anise and vanilla, but after a few hours it shifts to those citrus and acidic notes of apple and lemon, finishing with patchouli taking centre stage. I wouldn’t recommend it for hot weather as it radiates so much warmth and it actually got a bit much for me; perhaps it would shine more in autumn or winter.
A delicious blend of roses, berries, red apple, lemon and vanilla!
Indeed, it smells like caramel apples from the fair. It smells lovely, sweet but not cloying thanks to its little acidic twist. I’ve worn it a few times, but… it just doesn’t quite convince me to buy it again. I think it lacks anything that makes it stand out; it’s just another gourmand scent. It could make a lovely gift for a young girl as a first perfume.
I fell in love with it the moment I smelled it. It sits delicately on the skin with a sweet dry-down. The only downside is its longevity; I have to apply it several times for it to be noticeable.
Just one of many; no offence intended to any gourmand fans, but honestly, I’m already tired of so much sweetness.
The trail is absolutely brilliant and lasts for hours. At work, with just a little of this on, everyone approached me asking what perfume it was, and one man even bought it for his wife. WOW! It’s super sweet and sexy. I’m sorry it only comes in the little 30ml bottle and I treasure it like gold, but when it runs out, I’ll definitely buy the larger size =)
It smells of red fruits, warm, and very sensual. Its bottle perfectly expresses the essence. I was quite surprised; I didn’t expect much from another Donna Karan apple, but I’ve liked it. Perfect for autumn and winter, day or night. It’s quite sweet, and the myrrh gives it a sexy touch. The red berries aren’t acidic but sweetened by blackcurrant, licorice, and vanilla. On my skin, it had good sillage for the first two hours, then faded until disappearing after about six hours.
It’s a warm, very sensual aroma of red fruits. The bottle perfectly expresses the essence of the contents. To be honest, I was quite surprised; I wasn’t expecting much of another Donna Karan apple, but this one has pleased me greatly. Perfect for autumn and winter, day or night. It’s quite sweet and the myrrh gives it a very sexy touch. The red berries don’t feel acidic but are sweetened by the cassis, licorice and vanilla. On my skin it had a good trail for the first two hours, after which it fades until it disappears within about six hours.
On my skin, it opens with a slight citrus bitterness, a scent of cassia leaves and lemon peel with a sweet hint from licorice and vanilla, very soft. Basically, it’s a soothing perfume; in the second stage, you notice the rose and myrrh, and after five hours, only a faint spiced apple caress remains close to the skin. Very delicate… I love the sweet aromas of this beautiful apple; I would wear it in spring and late summer. I imagine a porcelain-skinned girl in tights near a river at sunset, with a gentle breeze mixing the scent of this apple.
It reminds me a lot of Cartier’s Delices, another red apple from 2008. It was my first scent and I recognised it immediately; a good option to replace this one, which I believe is discontinued. However, it seems too sweet, like sugary soft drinks for children. I don’t crave sweetness as much as before, but it’s delicious for those who do; not suitable for diabetics.
This perfume simply isn’t for me. I bought it excitedly, but upon application, it wasn’t what I expected. I’m not exactly sure what I dislike; I gave it several chances, but it definitely doesn’t suit me.
Sweet, sensual, and nocturnal. Good longevity. A very seductive spiced apple. I receive many compliments from men. Ideal for autumn and winter, it becomes very warm. A beautiful gourmand that will stay in my collection.
I wear it to go out or seduce and it never fails. It always stands out; it has a heavy sillage with good reach, but the scent is fresh, saving it from being an unbearable sweet. Men praised it so much that one even threw himself on top of me to smell it. Once I switched to a floral and it took him a while to get used to it. I’ve already grown bored of it, I feel terrible about burning it; it’s time for a new chapter. I enjoyed it so much.
Enchanting, it drives the opposite sex crazy, surely because of the patchouli. It’s charming, reminiscent of Petite Robe Noire, with licorice adding a nocturnal, dense, and slightly tipsy touch without losing the juicy fruity sweetness of the opening. Performance and longevity are magnificent.
On my skin, it doesn’t last a wink; it smells of red fruits and liquor. It’s a purchase I regret and doubt I’ll buy from Donna Karan again.
A cheerful substitute for something trying to imitate it: a mix of red fruits, sweetness, and a substance aiming to be more pleasant than the original. Longevity and sillage are low in cold weather; it’s not a great perfume but also not shocking, which is why it’s cheap.
Smells super sweet and warm, like a rich spiced apple but without being heavy; perfect for autumn and winter.
It smells delicious, like warm caramelised apple. Very tasty, with just enough sweetness so it doesn’t bother you.
Ugh, nothing like it. It’s a very sweet but heavy scent. Jeanne Arthes’ Amore Mio White Pearl is a dupe if you don’t want to spend so much; both smell equally generic. What a pity because the bottle is lovely, but it’s full of patchouli, which I can’t stand, and the red berries give it that medicinal smell that repulses me. Perhaps if they removed the berries, it would be better. I’m moving on to other youthful Donna Karan aromas that smell of little fruits and are refreshing.
I’ve tried Donna Karan’s Green Apple, Pink Apple, and Fresh Blossom. This is by far the sweetest. It’s warm, sweet, and lasts a long time, making it good for autumn and winter. It’s quite striking and attracts attention. My favourite remains the Green Apple; I wouldn’t swap it for anything.
It reminds me of Nina Ricci’s Nina, the red apple one a friend gave me. Tested side by side, they smell identical, except this one dries down slightly more pleasantly. The performance is similar, lasting no more than four hours. They seem very youthful, ideal as a gift for young girls.
It’s sweet and fruity but restrained. It’s not cloying; it blends with a herbal, medicinal, and bitter note that lingers. Upon application, it has a strong presence, then softens but remains noticeable. The sillage is moderate: it projects well without being overwhelming, even at work. I think it’s quite an evening scent, ideal for going out or when you need a boost. I like it, although I prefer florals. It’s not super memorable, but I love having it in my collection. I recommend it, especially if you find it on offer.
This fragrance is DELICIOUS. The sweetness is balanced with acidity, making it interesting and captivating. Definitely for evening wear or special occasions; it’s an aroma that anyone could enjoy.
It reminds me a lot of designer perfume styles, with good sillage and a fair price. It smells of myrrh with a sugared apple, and initially a very sweet, pleasant lemon.
I’m currently using it. When I tested it in the shop, it was the most delicious of the four, so I didn’t hesitate to buy it. At first, it smells of apple, but then that fades and vanilla remains, which is my favourite. It makes me feel attractive and is perfect for young women.
It’s a delight, with great sillage and longevity. The sweet note is very well balanced, and I think it’s ideal for evening wear.
Bought it blindly and I regret it. I already owned Be Delicious and loved it, but this smells different. At first, it’s sweet with apple and berries, but then the violets and rose become overpowering, mixed with myrrh. I can’t detect the licorice as I do in other perfumes, and the patchouli tastes bitter. It gives me headaches and feels far from cheerful, as if made for older people. Recovering my sense of smell and having to endure this left me depressed. If you like roses and violets, you might enjoy it, but I don’t, so I’ve already sold mine.
It’s exactly as the page says: fruity, sweet, intense, with trail and longevity, perhaps a bit strong. I feel it has something of champagne, like 212 VIP Rosé, I’m not saying they’re similar, but it smells like that style. I like it a lot but I don’t love it; there’s something about its notes that doesn’t quite convince me to give it a 10. In my opinion, it’s a very good perfume. I feel it’s for night due to its intensity, but sometimes I wear it during the day and feel it suits the day more; I don’t know how to explain it. I think it’s one of those perfumes you have to try and not buy blindly because it can be overwhelming for some people.
Excellent; the dry-down is spectacular; the myrrh with a touch of red fruit is brilliant and noticeable for 8 hours easily. Edited 27/12/2021: I now know what it reminds me of, Red Wood, it’s the same but this one lasts longer.
Totally tempted. Be Tempted by DKNY lives up to its name. The temptation starts immediately: an intense blend of red fruits and caramelised apples, sweet and tart at the same time. It’s a sweet spot, not cloying. On my skin, it loses intensity after 15-20 minutes, and then the florals emerge: a ripe rose wrapped in warm vanilla and a softly talc-dusted violet. They provide an interesting base twist, cutting the initial sweetness and adding, along with a very present myrrh, greater depth and sensuality. Like luli.sosabe noted, at certain moments medicinal and herbal notes are noticeable, especially at the end where the patchouli adds bitter touches that, in my opinion, make it more mysterious. It has a wide trail at first and then fades to moderate. On my skin, it lasts about 5 hours. I wear it in the evenings and in autumn-winter. Sincerely, I loved it: it’s very feminine, super striking, enigmatic, sensual and deep. I’m glad to have it.
It’s the second DKNY fragrance in my collection. The reviews said it was sexy and tempting, and it is: it’s striking, sweet and seductive as it dries. I detect a powdery aroma, like expensive makeup, nothing unpleasant. Fortunately, the patchouli note I hate is barely noticeable. It’s sweet apples, vanilla and red fruits; the myrrh gives it body and makes it striking. I see it more for fresh climates and definitely for evening wear.
It tastes good, but on my skin it fades in a jiffy and doesn’t feel high quality; I regret the spend and doubt I’ll buy from DK again.
If you like sweet and long-lasting perfumes, try this. To me, it’s the complete opposite of Be Delicious (the green bottle): here it’s apple, but caramelised. I feel it’s more suitable for night or cold climates. Every time I wear it, someone compliments the scent, although tastes are subjective. I recommend not buying blindly: for girls who prefer citrus or fresh scents, they might not like it. Unless you’re like me, who has perfumes of all styles for every occasion.
Be Tempted by DKNY is my number one fragrance, a 10/10. Personally, I prefer citrus scents, like Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana, because sweets give me facial reactions, but this is everything you’re looking for: an intense and exquisite blend of red fruits and caramelised apples, sweet and tart at the same time. It’s a sweet spot, not cloying or uncomfortable. It’s sensual and seductive; people always compliment it. I wear it at night, in winter, autumn, and for special occasions. It’s pricey, but if you want to try something different from citrus and venture into something sweet, it’s your option.
Years ago I used the original, the one seen on the website: it was a sweet, caramelised apple scent, feminine, long-lasting and delicious. In 2021 they reformulated it and ruined it. Now it smells like sugared apple juice, nothing striking, a total disappointment. I wish FraganciaX had flagged the change; even the bottle was affected: the snake is no longer on the cap, and the atomiser unscrews instead of being pressed 🥲🥲
Definitely one of my favourite fragrances. It smells sweet and caramelised, yet isn’t heavy; it sits very elegantly on the skin. Although I think it’s better suited to cold weather or for evening wear, it lasts a long time on clothes and leaves a huge trail.
I absolutely love it! Without a doubt, it’s one of my favourites for everyday wear. I’ve tried three others from the same line, and this is the sweetest with the best projection. It works brilliantly if you mix it with a sweet or fruity body mist.
