Taking a risk with a Japanese perfume, whether niche or commercial, is a gamble that’s gaining more followers all the time. Smelling fragrances from the Far East is not just a nasal pleasure; it’s a total immersion. The scents of Zen land, the sacred, and that obsessive attention to detail from the Japanese touch strings that other perfumes barely brush against. Kimitsu for Her isn’t as direct as its Western counterparts: it has a veiled sensuality and a vintage vibe that I absolutely love. It radiates serenity yet is voluptuous, like a secretary who, late at night and without anyone knowing, transforms into a daring stripper. It’s warm, sweet, and fruity, like a nectar that at some point mutates into something wild on the skin, before continuing to vibrate happily for hours afterwards. The sweet flowers blend perfectly with the warm base of amber and neroli, which is very perceptible, making it a very pleasurable olfactory experience in the colder months.
