Descripción
Tomo by Annayake is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2007, this composition features a bouquet where the top notes unfold lavender, citrus, and rosemary; the heart reveals tobacco, heliotrope, and coriander; and the base settles on tonka bean, benzoin, myrrh, and black musk.

Thanks, Juancar677, I’ll take a look at John Lewis to see if I’m very lucky.
Hello! Where can one try or buy this cologne? Your comments have sparked my curiosity. Thanks.
This fragrance is pure night, made for the Evening-Night. Although they say it resembles Le Male or Armani Code, I say each has its own world and Tomo isn’t a copy; it’s its own. Born in 2007, it remains a powerhouse, even after a decade. It has a classic construction but without an old-school air. The best part is that first-class tobacco, wrapped in lavender, sweet tonka bean, and a sensual black musk. Quality notes, an oriental, mysterious, deep, and masculine scent, with sillage and longevity that don’t fail. The olfactive pyramid is coherent and, above all, unique. No one will guess what you’re wearing, and that is gold.
Hello @juancar677, I love your reviews; I looked for it at John Lewis and can’t find it. Do they sell it at another perfumerie?
For me, this perfume is nothing different from others on the market. It smells very soft and subtle, but with little sillage and longevity, no more than three hours on my skin. I use it in Andalusian springs or autumns, with a fresh, not cold, atmosphere, because Tomo isn’t warm. It’s for daily use, without pretensions. It’s in my wardrobe, but it’s one I wear to make a statement. I’m not regretting buying it, but I won’t buy another. It will pass into my history without glory or shame. That said, the bottle is beautiful, and when I finish it, I’ll put it as decoration.
In my opinion, it smells just like others off the shelf. A very fine and soft aroma, but without sillage or longevity, lasting no more than three hours on the skin. Ideal for Andalusian springs or autumns with a fresh, not cold, atmosphere, because Tomo isn’t warm. It’s for daily use, without pretensions. It’s in my wardrobe, but it’s one I wear when I want to stand out. I’m not regretting buying it, but I won’t buy another. It will pass into my olfactory history without glory or shame. That said, the bottle is beautiful, and when I finish it, I’ll put it as decoration.
I bought it after watching countless videos and reading reviews. Upon smelling it, I thought: ‘smells great, but so different from what I imagined’. I liked it from the start, though I had to give it time. It’s a clean scent, but a rougher, perhaps sharper clean than Prada, and that’s not a bad thing. The tonka bean is very noticeable and I love it, although I wasn’t used to that note combination. I agree with some: you either hate it or love it; I love it and many people in my circle do. The only drawback is the performance: average longevity, about 5 or 6 hours like any other, but the projection is scarce. It’s more of an intimate fragrance, for being close, talking face-to-face, or dancing. In short, it smells good, is clean, slightly sweet and spiced, even seductive, but very subtle.
I bought it because of the videos and reviews I saw. As soon as I smelled it, I thought: ‘smells great, but different from what I expected’. I’ve liked it from the start, though I’ve given it a chance. It smells clean, but a rough clean and perhaps sharp, very different from my Prada, but not bad. The tonka bean is noticeable and I love it, although I wasn’t used to it sounding like this. As they say, you either hate it or love it; I love it and many in my circle do. The only flaw is the performance: average longevity, about 5 or 6 hours, but the projection is low. It’s more for intimacy, for talking close or dancing cheek-to-cheek. In short, a good scent, clean, sweet, spiced, and seductive, but very subtle.
I am the voice of dissent: this is the third Annayake I’ve tried and the one that suits me least. It doesn’t smell bad, by any means, but it feels too feminine despite the notes, which instead suggest something more masculine. After smelling it, I double-checked to ensure it wasn’t the ‘for Her’ version, yet given the notes, one would expect a distinctly manly touch. I was perplexed to see most classify it as masculine; I’d place it in unisex, though personally, I see it leaning more towards women. As a note, I tried it in the height of summer, which perhaps distorted my perception compared to those who reserve it for spring or autumn. Nevertheless, despite its femininity, I see it as light enough for the heat and a success for a woman in summer. I’ll keep it and try again in autumn; if my opinion changes, I’ll update here.
