What a lovely perfume! I can imagine it made for a sweet and gentle girl. The first thing you smell is that sweet, citrusy ripe orange, followed by the marzipan (almonds with sugar). On my skin, the marzipan is what lasts the longest, what luck! I’ve never tried anything like this; perfumery always surprises me. I love that it makes you want to eat it, and this one did. It reminds me of when I was a little girl and the Easter bunny brought me those lovely, tasty marzipan eggs, such a wonderful tradition in my country. This perfume brought back that beautiful memory and made me so happy.
It’s not as sweet as its name suggests; it opens with a super citrusy burst and, although it softens, it lingers beautifully through its evolution. You can detect the marzipan, but not the kind that makes you crave it. If you’re looking for a delicious gourmand, you won’t find it here: don’t be fooled by the title. It’s more wearable, fresh and fruity, ideal for spring and summer. It smells nice, but it doesn’t deliver on the promise of the name.
