Blessed mother of love is a bombshell gourmand; the opening is so intense that if you overdo it, you smell diabetic. I would even recommend this to people with hypoglycaemia. After five minutes of resting, this Italian dessert in extract format comes to life in three dimensions: the dark chocolate feels chewable, mixed with strawberry and plum, vanilla, and a hyper-realistic truffle I’ve never smelled in a fragrance. I detect a dry point, like nut shavings and sprinkled coffee, even though they aren’t in the notes, and they sound wonderful. A very special scent, for specific occasions, unisex but with a feminine tint. Notable longevity, medium projection. At the very least, it must be tried.
Blessed mother of love, truly, I haven’t heard anything more gourmand than this. The opening is a slap in the face of such intensity that if you inhale too much, you suddenly smell diabetic. I would even recommend this perfume to people with hypoglycaemia. Once you let it rest for five minutes, this Italian dessert in extract format becomes three-dimensional. The dark chocolate feels chewable, perfectly mixed with subtle notes of strawberry and plum, accompanied also by vanilla and a hyper-realistic truffle I’ve never smelled in a fragrance. I perceive a dry point, similar to a dessert with nut shavings and sprinkled coffee, even though neither ingredient is listed in the notes, but which, in any case, turn out wonderful. A very special scent, for very specific occasions, unisex, but leaning slightly feminine in my opinion. Notable longevity, medium projection. Worth being tried, at the very least.
I knew it would be gourmand, but this goes over the top; it’s up there with a Bakhoor gourmand and they don’t differ much in the opening. That said, I go crazy when I see someone voted it similar to Paco Rabanne’s Black XS… unless we’re talking about the bottle and atomiser, I don’t know what else they could mean in common… it doesn’t declare toffee or caramel, but this must carry tonnes of it. I don’t detect the truffle; I’m not saying it’s not there, just that I can’t smell it. Clearly a more feminine scent than a masculine one, but there’s no problem with a man wearing it. Suitable only for cold weather; I’m not usually one for day or night, cold or heat perfumes, but in this case, yes, clearly for cold. If you wear this out on the street above 20 degrees, you risk fainting.
I knew it would be gourmand, but it’s a bit much; on the skin it smells just like the Bakhoor gourmand, and I was blown away to read someone comparing it to Paco Rabanne’s Black XS, besides both coming in a bottle with a spray nozzle, I’m not sure what else they have in common… it doesn’t declare toffee or caramel, but I’m sure they’re packed with it. I don’t detect the truffle, not that I’m saying it’s not there, I just can’t smell it. It clearly smells more feminine, but there’s no problem with a man wearing it. Only for cold weather, I’m not one for day or night, heat or cold perfumes, but in this case yes, clearly for cold; if you put this on and step outside when it’s more than 20 degrees, you risk fainting.
Brutally delicious! It has excellent longevity and a captivating scent. For the first three hours, you get an extraordinary quality dark chocolate. Honestly, I didn’t perceive all the listed notes, but the dry-down is clearly a delicious vanilla. The best gourmand fragrance. Simply art and exquisite.
Absolute love! A dense, deep, sweet, and unique scent. Earthy, chocolatey truffle with a touch of strawberry… could you ask for more? Gourmand at its finest, with acceptable longevity and projection; for the first two hours, you release a cloud with bursts of fragrance. Then it becomes subtler, sometimes barely asserting its presence, but on clothes it lasts around seven hours. I declare myself a fan! I only have the 50 ml version and now I want the 100 ml; it’s already part of my top 10. P.S.: I own Chocolate Queen by Navitus and they are quite similar, but not identical. Chocolate Queen lacks that earthy touch, highlights the Baileys liqueur more, and is creamier. Both are loved.

What a gem! Loads of dark chocolate with a sweet vanilla hint. You can detect saffron and plum, and it smells of hazelnuts or almonds, like a Ferrero Rocher with a honey Toblerone drizzled over the nuts. The strawberry is hidden beneath the saffron.
It’s ultra rich. Very strong. Potent chocolate. The truffle is very noticeable. Not sweet at all. Highly recommended.
Wow! Earthy, alcoholic, loads of dark chocolate with a sweet vanilla hint. I detect saffron and plum. It smells as if it has hazelnuts or almonds; it reminds me of a Ferrero Rocher and a honey Toblerone covering the almonds. I think the strawberry is masked by the saffron.
I smell the truffle (giving it that earthy air) and the chocolate immediately; as it evolves, it seems the truffle has been bathed in strawberry and plum syrup, wow, what a gourmand. I was perceiving other scents at a showroom where I was invited, but when I smelled this, I had to wait to ‘clean’ my olfactory senses and continue with the others, and it is indeed very strong. Definitely suitable for lovers of very sweet scents.

I owned Jousset Madelaine du Proust, Gourmand Bakhoor, Le Gourmand. From Xerjoff: Itálica, Este. From Pantheon: Roma. This one won; the others, the best smelling is the Xerjoff, but this Dolce Passione is unisex (women can wear it perfectly and men too, it doesn’t lean too far in any direction). I’m 19 and have tried many things, though you won’t believe it in terms of scents. This seems very interesting to me, smelling of cocoa with water and ginger (in my country they make hot chocolate with water, and this reminded me totally of that). It’s a perfume that reminds me of ‘Philosophy’ by Day Three, but this is better because Philosophy has a strong tobacco note. I sprayed it in the air and my cousin said ‘what smells so good?’, so I’ll keep testing it on the street to see how it goes, but regarding the notes, it smells exactly as described, and it seems like a perfume for a professional, dominant, strong, and characterful person.
Smells like a chocolate bar for tea in the opening combined with cloves. Then it evolves, yes, but as if that bar had been prepared with milk beforehand. I can’t imagine smelling this on the street. A richer, more passable chocolate is Chocolate Greedy.
Sweet dark chocolate with very gourmand vanilla. In the opening it seems realistic, but as it dries down it moves away from that realism, leaving a sharp accord (I’m not sure which note) with a honey base and a lost note that feels like strawberry, like a strawberry dessert submerged in chocolate. To me, it’s a unisex scent leaning feminine; I think it would be perfect for a romantic date.
Sweet dark chocolate with vanilla, very gourmand. I already owned Navitus Chocolate Queen and when I received this (blindly), I thought: ‘oh, a blatant copy of Chocolate Queen’. Then I saw it was from 2016, hehe. Well, Chocolate Queen is actually a blatant copy of DP. I like this one a bit more because it lasts an hour or two longer than CH-Q. It’s pure chocolate, very rich.
It smells more of hazelnuts than chocolate. A nutty and caramelised perfume. But if you’re looking for a super realistic chocolate, this isn’t it. Note, it’s not bad; it’s rich and complex. Perhaps it just wasn’t what I was after.
I had sky-high expectations and bought the full size blindly. Mistake. The opening has a sharpness that prevents enjoying its full evolution, sadly. It gets rich after a while but leaves my nose tingling.
Hello. I almost bought it blindly online, thinking it was the chocolate version of Magnus Opus, but thanks to a 5ml decant, I avoided the mistake. The opening has a very sharp truffle note that I don’t like. Then it settles into a dark chocolate bar scent, around 60% cocoa (I love that, but it lasts only about 20 minutes). Afterwards, there’s a hazelnut and waxy note that lingers until the end. On my skin, it lasts 5-6 hours. Is it quality? Yes. Does it feel expensive? Yes. Does it evolve? Yes. But it’s not what I was looking for. I expected a quality chocolate for my collection, but here the chocolate scent is fleeting. I prefer Kalotinis Velvet Chocolate, which is much more affordable. Mental note: test before spending on risky purchases.
Super rich gourmand fragrance. Bitter dark chocolate, earthy and imposing truffle, paired with soft, sophisticated honey and vanilla. What a gem! Hoping to grab a bottle soon.
