Arturetto Landi
Arturetto Landi is Senior Perfumist at MANE Dubai, with a distinguished career spanning multiple cities and countries. Initially, he pursued a career as a chemist, but came across the world of perfumery during a casual job at a fragrance company in England. This sparked his passion for scents, leading him to train at H&R in Holzminden and, finally, to work in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Vienna and Dubai.
Raised on the Italian Riviera and influenced by his father’s profession as a chef, Landi developed a love for the sensual and the complex. He draws inspiration from both his past and faraway places, mainly from the fragrances of Arabia. His fragrances are opulent, grand and composed like a symphony for the nose.
Landi recently launched his fragrance line, PROFUMI D'ART, after dreaming of doing so for many years. He introduced a new perfume system, packaging and way of using the aromas inspired by the coffee industry. His line is aimed at a worldwide audience, with a fragrance, ART04, that is oriented towards the Middle East.
Landi’s fascination with agarwood, which he discovered during his first visit to the Middle East 25 years ago, has led him to master the creation of fragrances that incorporate rare and precious materials. He prefers warm, woody and leathery qualities in his oud oils and dislikes those that are overly animalic and with cheesy nuances.
In Landi’s view, the qualities that define a great perfumist are modesty, patience, imagination, passion and the ability to recognise good things.
