Pantheon R by Pantheon Roma is an oriental woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, this olfactory composition is signed by Arturetto Landi. The best perfume I have tried for autumn and winter. It is one of those discoveries that ends up winning everyone over. It is not anything complex to wear, but its composition is. It evolves in an enveloping way, getting better and much better. It starts with a soft leather that fades away, nothing like the typical men’s leather. The amber and frankincense, already of the highest quality and well-crafted, bring elegance everywhere and remain for most of the time making it elegant, distinctive, and intoxicating. All the notes work in layers, and to keep the story short, it ends with that sweet, fruity, and vanilla part, but nothing that overwhelms or bothers, quite the opposite. It lasts easily 24 hours on skin and weeks on clothes; sometimes I think it’s not there until it gives you that burst. It is one of the few perfumes that, after several hours, have people asking if I reapply. It has the most beautiful dry-down I have seen, all combined; it is one of the few fragrances that evolve, and in that evolution, you can feel the changes. If you are a lover of good scents, this will challenge you to delve deeper and deeper into good smells. For those over 25, it is brutal, although a younger person could wear it. It has a projection in trail mode that covers you around a metre, and whoever smells you knows you are wearing something expensive and uncommon, and that lasts all day without needing to reapply.
I have been testing R for a day and it seems to be one of the best fragrances for autumn and winter. Spiced, the cinnamon and saffron are very noticeable, resting on a base of oud and leather, with a frankincense that accompanies the life of the perfume and an iris that adds a distinctive touch. It should not be described note by note since the sum of them makes this work an exquisite delight. Its projection is superb and its longevity too. For cool nights, in situations where one wants to stand out and give an impression of power and elegance, it seems to be one of the most appropriate options on the market. This is pure art. Exquisite: an extreme blend of strawberry and cinnamon with resins, leather, woods, and frankincense that turns into a true ecstasy. Everything is perfectly seasoned with saffron, iris, and jasmine; you don’t smell them clearly, but they are noticeable in the mix. It is extraordinary, one of the best I have smelled recently. It is joining my collection next autumn, as it should be. In summary: Unisex-masculine, ultimately dominated by classically masculine notes: leather, amber, woods, and frankincense. It is extraordinary, one of the best I have heard of recently. It is joining my collection next autumn, as it should be.
