Dune Océane by Écume d'Arcachon is a floral-fruity fragrance for women and men that pictures a pale dune beside the Atlantic: clear light, brisk air, skin still holding the sun.
Rather than going overtly aquatic, it lets a frosted citrus prelude melt into milky fig before resting on a powdery musk with soft woody depth.
Up top, grapefruit, ice and white blossoms set the tone. The grapefruit has a juicy bitterness lifted by a distinctly cool shimmer, while the white flowers remain airy and laundered, never heady or tropical.
The middle pairs fig with sand. Here the fig reads smooth and lightly honeyed, its creamy side to the fore, tempered by a dry mineral impression that calls to mind sunlit grains and warm shoulders.
