E13 Voile Blanc: A Pale Veil of Frankincense and Timber
Michele Marin Essenza introduced E13 Voile Blanc in 2026 as a woody-spiced fragrance for both women and men. The idea is one of transparency: luminous resins drawn over dry timber.
Elemi resin, frankincense olibanum and cypress form the top, with galbanum, rose, iris and cinnamon at the heart, followed by a base of birch, amber, patchouli, musk and cedar.
At first it smells cool, green and balsamic. Elemi lends a varnished brightness, the olibanum frankincense is restrained rather than smoky, and cypress contributes a refined evergreen lift.
The middle introduces texture. Galbanum keeps a vegetal bite, the rose is kept fresh and spare, and iris supplies the powdery veil at the centre of the scent. A measured dose of cinnamon warms rather than sweetens.
The foundation is dry and woody with an amber glow. Birch offers a crisp, lightly smoked dryness, cedar a clean framework, patchouli an earthy undertow, amber a mellow warmth. Musk blurs the lines and softens the trail.
What stands out is the airy handling of rich materials. Woody, aromatic, ambery and gently spiced facets sit alongside green, balsamic, rosy and powdery nuances without turning dense.
Through the day it moves from aromatic brightness towards a quiet, polished wood-and-musk close. The sillage is neat and composed, more of an elegant haze than a pronounced projection.
