Ode to Iris: starts super powdery, like classic makeup, but softens with the rice and then the suede. It’s a friendly iris, neither talc-heavy nor buttery. The chocolate is barely noticeable on my skin, nothing gourmand or creamy, and no edible notes. 100% unisex if you like iris. Versatile for daily wear; thanks to the musk, it dries down to a natural second skin. Projection and sillage are moderate, lasting about six hours before fading to skin scent. It has quality, though there are better designer irises with more longevity. In short: not bad, but I’ve smelled this before.

Blind buy that turned out great, thank God I paid a hundred euros. At first it smells like Lipstick On by Maison Margiela, but instead of lipstick and rice, it’s rice with eyeshadows. The powdery iris dominates, very elegant. As it dries, I notice cocoa powder, but beware: it doesn’t smell like Vie Est Belle, it’s not gourmand, and the cocoa is barely felt. If you’re looking for chocolate, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s pure powdery iris. It doesn’t smell as much of rice as Blanc Violette or as heavy on the makeup as Moulin Rouge; here, the iris is the star. I see it as unisex. Smells like new leather shoes, pure luxury.
