It’s a floral vanilla with a touch of tar that I love more than the original, because this one lacks that citrus note which doesn’t suit me. It’s cosy and sweet, with vanilla and tonka bean making it gourmand. Dried down, it smells like Jeanne Arthes’ Guipure & Silk Ylang Vanille and Zara’s Hypnotic Vanilla, but more intense. Although they don’t say so, it smells of musk. On me, it lasts six hours with good projection. If I find it again, I’ll buy it; it’s a perfect all-rounder for autumn/winter at home or in the countryside, and it doesn’t bother me in summer either. More reviews at @probadoaprobado.
Floral and talc-like vanilla that hooks me more than the original, because this one lacks that citrus touch. It’s cosy and sweet, with a light floral where the vanilla and tonka bean are noticeable, in a gourmand style. Dried down, it smells like Jeanne Arthes’ Guipure & Silk Ylang Vanille and ends like Zara’s Hypnotic Vanilla, but more intense. It must contain musk even if they don’t say so. On me, it lasts six hours with good projection, noticeable all the time. If I find another bottle, I’ll definitely buy it; it’s an ideal all-rounder for autumn/winter at home or out in the countryside, and it doesn’t bother me in summer either. On my skin it’s bland: soft vanilla and nothing else. It lasted about six hours clinging to the skin.
This flanker smells the same as the original but without the bergamot, which I hate (it becomes plastic and bitter). The peony smells a bit artificial at first, but after twenty minutes it turns into a delicious vanilla and tar scent. It lasts three to four hours, has moderate sillage, and smells of vanilla, though sometimes I notice the tonka bean. I think it pays homage to Dior’s Hypnotic Poison EDT, but it’s not a dupe or a direct inspiration. Scent 8/10, longevity 6/10, sillage 5/10, value for money 8/10, packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
