What a surprise! This perfume is truly an olfactory bomb. The oud launches straight away and is a bit hard to take in at first; it’s challenging and animalic. Gradually, other notes emerge: musk, amber, and a light touch of incense. After 15 minutes, the oud becomes more gentle and sexy, giving way to an elegant, creamy gardenia with hints of magnolia and saffron. The bergamot adds just a touch of freshness, while the rose and peony are very much in the background. After an hour, it evolves on my skin. I feel it’s totally unisex, slightly leaning feminine, woody, lightly floral, and tremendously sexy. I’m in love with the power and the shifts; they combine deliciously with my skin, giving me the sensation of being on a Caribbean beach in spring, with lightly bronzed skin and a touch of clean sweat. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind because it is challenging, but without a doubt, it is a work of art in niche perfumery.
