Gula's Fresa Láctea is a floral-fruity gourmand fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this olfactive composition was created by perfumer Mario Saldivar. In its opening, the top notes unfold milk, strawberry, and berries; the heart reveals powdery notes, while the base settles on woody and caramel notes.

As soon as I heard about this absolute gem, I didn’t hesitate to buy it, and I’m so glad I did. It’s a beautifully crafted fragrance: the notes are exactly as described. At first, you detect the milky strawberry and the woody elements, which take quite a lead, but both scents are perfectly balanced. On my skin, the red berries add a touch of acidity that balances everything, leaving the talc-like notes with a hint of caramel as the final protagonists. However, the strawberry remains dominant throughout all stages… It is undoubtedly a stunning perfume and one of my favourites. I would wear it for going out at night. BTW, it lasts on clothes for days. The only comment is that the bottle size is 30 ml; I wish it were 100 ml, hahaha, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy two more bottles when I finish this one. Scent 10/10, longevity 10/10, projection 9/10, price 10/10.

When I found out about this masterpiece, I didn’t wait a second to buy it as soon as I could, and I’m so pleased I did. It’s a fragrance crafted to perfection; the notes are exactly as stated: at first, it smells milky with strawberries, but the woody part also gets its fair share, roughly half and half. On my skin, the red berries add an acidic touch that balances everything so that the musky notes with a caramel aftertaste shine at the end, although the strawberry continues to dominate in all phases… it is undoubtedly a beautiful perfume and one of my favourites; I would wear it for going out at night. By the way, it lasts on clothes for days. The only thing that bothers me is that it comes in 30 ml when I’d prefer it to be 100 ml, hahaha, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy two more bottles when this one runs out. Scent 10/10, longevity 10/10, projection 9/10 and price 10/10.

I’ve been following Gula perfumes for a while now and the concept seems brilliant to me; there is no loss. The treatment with Mario, the nose, is excellent: he is kind, passionate, and knows his audience well. I was interested in Strawberry Milky because it reminded me of Cry Baby, although I haven’t heard it or its inspirations; I used it as a pretext to buy my first fragrance from Gula, as strawberry is one of my favourite notes. Upon spraying, it smells like a fresh, vibrant strawberry, like biting into one with whipped cream, without smelling like ice cream or overly sweet. After a few seconds, the caramel and woody notes emerge more strongly, and a slight floral talc note is noticeable. It is a very rich perfume, but it is not what one might imagine from the name. It reminds me of the Burberry Her EDP profile, but I wouldn’t say they are similar in themselves; it just recalls her. If I consider it sweet, the talc and wood notes prevent it from being cloying or totally gourmand. If you like acidic strawberries and don’t dislike woody aromas, it’s a 10/10; I do not recommend it for those looking to smell like Strawberry Pound Cake by BBW.

I’ve been following Gula Perfumes for some time now; the concept is interesting and there’s no losing out. The treatment with Mario, the nose, is excellent: friendly, passionate, and he knows his audience. I was interested in Strawberry Lactea because it reminded me of Cry Baby. I haven’t smelled it or its inspirations, but I used that as a reason to finally buy a fragrance from Gula, as strawberry is my favourite note. Upon spraying, it’s fresh and vibrant strawberry, smelling like biting into strawberry with whipped cream, without any ice cream or overly sweet scent. Then come the caramel and woods, with a light floral touch of talc. It’s delicious, but it’s not what you’d imagine from the name. It recalls the profile of Burberry Her EDP but they aren’t alike. If it’s sweet, the talc and woods prevent it from being cloying or gourmand. If you like acidic strawberry and aren’t bothered by woods, it’s a 10/10; I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking to smell like BBW’s Strawberry Pound Cake.

Looking for red berries in the Cry Baby style? Here you are! Even after a shower, you still smell it (not just the outrageously expensive ones have marathon longevity). Acidic little red fruits, nothing cloying, with that sweet-and-sour balance that’s absolutely enchanting. Blessed be, there’s no trace of that talc from Cry Baby. As for 2025, it takes a solar/lactic/talc-woody path that I don’t like; it smells like a baby’s milky cheek and doesn’t make me happy. Verdict: Cry Baby 6/10, Strawberry Lactea 10/10. Plus, the price is excellent, let’s support Mexican talent 🫶

Total delight. Here, fresh strawberry takes the lead, paired with woods and a touch of talc that doesn’t overpower, plus a hint of caramel. If you’re looking for something identical to Burberry Her, forget it; this is bright, acidic strawberry, nothing cloying. It lasts all day, even on clothes—I applied it this morning and it lasted my eight-hour shift. It smells more feminine, but it’s for everyone, so dare to try it! Extra points for being a Mexican brand that doesn’t compromise against designer or niche perfumes.

Are you looking for something with red berries very much in the style of Cry Baby? Here it is. Moreover, even if you take a shower, you still smell (not only do the most expensive perfumes have marathon longevity). Acidic little red fruits; it is not cloying, with a sweet/acidic touch that I like very much. Blessed be, you don’t feel that talciness from Cry Baby. Cry Baby 2025 takes a somewhat solar/milky/talc-like/woody path, which I don’t like. It smells like a baby’s cheek full of milk and it doesn’t make me happy. Blessed be: Cry Baby 6/10, Strawberry Milky 10/10. Furthermore, the price is excellent. Let’s support Mexican talent.
