  Today I tried this perfume and, while everyone smells different, comparing this Xerjoff to Clive Christian’s Rock Rose is madness. Where Rock Rose is green with heliotrope and violet giving a soft, talc-like delicacy to the lavender freshness, Golden Green is a bomb of fresh yet intense spices, featuring a spectacular coffee that blends with nagarmota or cardamom, adding a sharp, balsamic green note with an oud aura. The cardamomo is very present and beautifully crafted in its sweet and spicy facet. Tomorrow I’ll try it by day because I sense a note reminiscent of Sauvage Elixir; perhaps it’s the nutmeg or that oriental note also found in Oud for Greatness. For now, I’d say that out of the four Xerjoff samples I own, this has the most trail and longevity; a light spray flooded my room and radiates incredibly from the elbow. Given these performances, the price is justified.

  Just tried it out, and while not everyone feels the same, comparing this Xerjoff to Clive Christian’s Rock Rose is madness. Where Rock Rose is green with neroli and violet, leaving a powdery, delicate trail, this Golden Green is a bomb of fresh, intense spices with a spectacular coffee note blending with black cardamom, creating a sharp, balsamic green with an oud aura. Cardamom is very present, worked on its sweet and spicy facet. I’ll try it tomorrow in daylight; I sense a note reminiscent of Sauvage Elixir, perhaps the nutmeg or that oriental note with oud, like in Oud for Greatness. Of the four Xerjoff samples I have, this one has the most trail and longevity: a light spray flooded my room and radiates incredibly from the elbow. Given these performances, the price is justified.

  Golden Green is an elegant and exquisite fragrance centred on spicy cardamom, smoked leather, and above all, the duo of cypriol and coffee. Although they form the base, the cypriol and coffee emerge tentatively at first, gradually building up without becoming overwhelming. There is vetiver and woods, but they don’t stand out on skin. All the notes are masterfully blended, giving it more versatility than its predecessors (Dallah and Moka), whether by season or occasion. Its performance is impeccable: lasting around 8/10 hours on skin depending on sprays, with a projection of a metre for the first two hours before settling into a personal bubble. The dry-down is clean and talc-like, typical of Xerjoff. Although it’s an EDP unisex, it has a masculine twist. As always, test any niche fragrance on skin before buying.

  Golden Green is a big, elegant, and beautiful fragrance whose aromas revolve around spiced cardamom, slightly smoked leather, and above all, the cardamom and coffee combo. Although they’re in the base, cardamom and coffee appear timidly shortly after application, rising progressively without overwhelming the rest. There’s vetiver and woods, but they’re not very noticeable on skin. All facets are masterfully blended, giving it greater versatility than its predecessors (Dallah and Moka), both in season and occasion. Its performance is excellent and flawless: lasting around 8/10 hours on skin depending on sprays, projecting a metre for the first two hours before dropping to a personal bubble. The dry-down is clean and talc-like, as is typical of Xerjoff. Being an EDP unisex, it leans towards masculine. As always, I recommend testing any niche fragrance on your own skin before buying.
