Griffi Uomo is old-school masculinity, potent and unapologetic. It is not for boys or for play; it is definitively for men of character with an almost wild eroticism, making no concessions. The wearer moves with ease through the elegant nocturnal world of the era, yet often needs to return to the rough neighbourhood of their childhood, immersing themselves in their most real and evocative facets. It is not easy to forget that atmosphere and to live authentically with the nuances of a somewhat dangerous lifestyle, crossing a line that many would avoid: a fast-paced life where creative human and environmental connotations blend. Stories of places and lives where friendships and loves that last forever are forged. Herbaceous, ambered, and very masculine, this liquid has become a cult fragrance thanks to a strong dose of patchouli and an unusual development that, to my nose, is polarising yet attractive. A bergamot growing on ground covered in dark patchouli, woods, and a touch of moss. After a prickly opening, it turns creamy thanks to a notable sandalwood; its woody base and that golden sheen in many moments remind me of an autumnal walk in the forest. This beauty is noticeable even in the heat, so apply it lightly. The new generation of educated, almost invisible perfumes for their wearer, formulated with homeopathic doses of essences, pales in comparison to ancestors like Griffi Uomo. It would be interesting to spray five times and walk into a New York skyscraper elevator with a cheerful face; you would surely cause panic and a stampede when pressing the alarm button. If you are not familiar with this type of proposal, it may lead you to judge it negatively and rush to the shower, but if you are not afraid and feel comfortable with it, the smile will accompany you for several hours.
