Absolutely brilliant, it smells of quality and elegance. Fig scent has always appealed to me, its leaves and fruits, that fragrance that emanates from the whole tree, a wonderful gift from nature. This perfume intoxicates you with a scent of the Mediterranean and countryside, of mountain and dry land, as we say here, of sweet and appetising fruit.
Very good vibes, it smells of quality and elegance. Fig scent has always appealed to me, leaves and fruit, that fragrance that comes from the whole tree, a gift from nature. This perfume intoxicates you with a scent of the Mediterranean and countryside, of mountain and dry land, as they say in my region, of sweet and appetising fruit.
In the previous review, I just wanted to let out the words that came out when I first smelled it. I’ve already tried Philosykos by Diptyque and Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma, but this Io Capri by Carthusia beats them. In terms of scent, it lasts 5 to 6 hours on the skin with just 2 or 3 sprays.
Carthusia perfumes scream quality and elegance, with projection, trail, and longevity that are unforgettable. They are luxury niche, and many others should look at their price and quality in the mirror.
Pure art and my office signature, which outperforms the great champions. A comforting aroma that blends clean and creamy with a touch of danger. I’ve been a fan of the fig note since I encountered it in K by Dolce Gabbana, already charming but overshadowed and a bit synthetic. I’ve tried Fico di Amalfi by Aqua di Parma and the ravishing Philosykos by Diptyque, both smell great but this one beats them by a long way on performance. Here the fig isn’t as realistic as in Philosykos, but very well balanced, creating a spectacular combination with mint, tea, and floral notes. It’s a scent that gives me energy and comfort at the same time, making me feel clean and classy, a morning delight that takes the sleepiness away and wraps you in its sweetness. Perfect balance between sweet and herbal, made with quality raw materials as befits the house, though not all have this performance (Mediterraneo, for example, is fleeting). Compliments never fail; so far it’s my colleagues’ favourite and one told me it makes her smile every time she smells the perfume. The same happens to me. It’s not tiring no matter how much you perceive it and is a pleasure that accompanies you. The price, to be niche, is very affordable: here in Spain 100 ml for 90 euros, more than reasonable for quality and performance. A safe bet and a secret I hope it remains.
A jewel that is already my office signature, outperforming other greats. A comforting aroma that blends cleanliness, creaminess, and a touch of danger. I’ve been a fan of fig since K by Dolce Gabbana, charming but synthetic and overshadowed. I’ve tried Fico di Amalfi by Aqua di Parma and Philosykos by Diptyque, both brilliant, but this one wins on performance. It’s a less realistic fig than Philosykos, but very well balanced with mint, tea, and florals. It gives me energy and comfort, making me feel clean and classy; it’s a delightful morning scent that takes the sleepiness away with its sweetness. Perfect balance between sweet and herbal, with quality raw materials like the house, though not all have this performance (Mediterraneo is fleeting). Compliments never fail; it’s my colleagues’ favourite and one told me it makes her smile every time she smells it. The same happens to me. It’s not tiring and is a constant pleasure. And the price, for a niche fragrance, is very affordable: 100 ml for 90 euros in Spain, reasonable for quality and longevity. A safe bet and a secret I hope to keep.
I bought this fragrance blind, ignoring the mantra that it’s a record-breaking longevity masterpiece and a secret. I thought it was a safe bet with a century-old house and a price I liked, but I’ve been completely let down: I feel ripped off. It’s not a cat for a hare; it’s the original, but its longevity barely lasts twenty minutes, which is a joke since any cologne lasts longer. The scent is peculiar, like rubbing a green fig leaf and bringing the cut to your nose; very realistic and well-made, but its performance on skin and clothes is grounds for filing a complaint with Carthusia. It pains me to rant so much about something in which I invested hope and money that has evaporated as quickly as its smell.
