Descripción

L Red Tea Vetiver by Clive Christian is an aromatic woody olfactory creation, designed for men and women. This fragrance, signed by master perfumer Clive Christian and launched in 2025, opens with a vibrant top note of bergamot and lemon, an acidic lime that awakens the senses. The heart reveals the elegance of vetiver and the earthy character of rooibos tea, while the base settles on the warmth of sandalwood and the softness of musk.

It’s logical to like Clive Christian; everything I’ve tried seems extremely well-crafted and assembled. The price is outrageous, but the scent is very good, with the elegance that is the house’s hallmark. It opens with a whiff of black tea and vivid citrus, with a touch of vetiver. Those vibrant citrus notes last a few minutes before receding to let the more settled tea and vetiver take over. In the heart phase, without the citrus, it shows its elegant and distinctive facet until the end. Everything fits perfectly. The packaging is outstanding. The vetiver isn’t dry; it’s creamy, probably due to the sandalwood and musk which add more elegance. From the heart to the dry down, there’s something soapy in the air. I perceive it as unisex, leaning masculine, and it doesn’t work all year round on very cold days. It’s for formal and characterful occasions, in line with the house, with moderate projection and longevity. I don’t think the price is justified. I loved it, but I wouldn’t pay that. Still, I’ll keep trying it.

It’s a distinct and wonderful fragrance, with that exquisite quality typical of Clive Christian. On my nose, it opens with a sharp bergamot well-balanced with vetiver, giving way to a super-addictive tea and sandalwood blend that is nothing invasive and wonderfully creamy. The musk adds a velvet softness. It leans more towards formal than informal; ideal with a shirt, trousers, or suit due to the elegance it denotes. Wearable all year round, though spring and autumn are its best allies.
