Descripción
La Dompteuse Encagée by Serge Lutens is a floral fragrance, created for men and women. Launched in 2021, this signature composition by Serge Lutens unfolds an olfactive pyramid where top notes of bergamot and jasmine give way to a heart of rose and valley lily, settling on a base of sandalwood and vanilla.

In the family of yellow tropical florals, this smells very intriguing. The opening is a potent almond liqueur that my brain initially mistakes for mint (something that has happened to me with other recent almond scents). After 15 minutes, the yellow note rises and the tropical flowers explode: what I notice most is the plumeria, alongside that creamy ylang-ylang sensation. On my skin, it lasts about five hours, remaining linear in that sweet yellow floral accord, but apart from the almond opening, it merges with my skin and doesn’t project much (curiously, I use the sample vial they gave me as a room spray because it’s been blasting the opening note non-stop for two days). As a fan of yellow florals, I found this almond twist on the typical seasonal tropical floral very interesting and lovely. I see it as feminine and, despite being informal, elegant. However, its longevity on my skin has left me somewhat disappointed, as at €2 per ml, I expected it to project for at least eight hours. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 8/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 8/10

What a wonderfully spring-like and luminous scent! I love how it blends with my skin. They told me at the department stores they no longer restock it once it’s finished—will they be discontinuing it? Why? I now need to grab a 100ml bottle and keep it like gold in a safe.
