Did anyone catch the movie Blow with Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz? At the start, Johnny lives in California in 1968 with a gorgeous girlfriend, a flight attendant called Barbie. They spend their days smoking on the beach with other girls from the same trade, Barbie’s hairdresser and Johnny’s best friend, Tuna. Then come the pool parties, suntan lotion, cocktails, sunshine, starlit nights and floral dresses in neon shades. This smells like Chant for the Nymph: a beautiful woman on holiday, 60s beach culture, chic cocktails, tropical outfits and a young Johnny Depp by her side.
