Gucci Bamboo by Gucci

Smells super fresh and versatile, perfect for spring or summer as it’s weightless. It’s an elegant freshness; the citrus and floral notes are noticeable instantly. What disappoints me is the longevity: it lasts nothing for me, which is key. I wouldn’t recommend it.

A perfect perfume… I don’t know how to describe it any other way, ideal for any occasion, day or night. It sits and projects massively on my skin; I have no regrets at all about buying it.

Citrusy but not so strong that it leaves a clean and elegant trail in the end. I think I should try it again because it left me with mixed feelings: the opening feels generic, but the dry-down after several hours (which I loved) reminded me of a perfume I smelled years ago and can’t recall which one it was.

I like it. It’s not the sweet style I usually wear; it’s citrusy, aquatic with a green base. However, as it dries, a very subtle sweet vanilla and amber appears when it touches my skin, reminiscent of a baby-type body cream. I use it in summer for sports and before bed. For everyday wear, I prefer perfumes with more intensity.

At this point, I’m curious to try it; really, you can’t take existing reviews too far seriously as the three fragrances mentioned as similar, L’Air du Temps by Nina, Flora by Gucci, and I Fancy You by Simpson, have nothing to do with the compositions, so the comparisons aren’t a good basis for blind buying.

Fantastic fragrance, very feminine and delicate, the Casablanca lily is the protagonist, sheltered by spicy notes and a subtle, elegant touch of vanilla. It made excellent chemistry with my skin, lasting over seven hours with four sprays. I see it as spring-like but not for intense summer heat. It exudes presence, romantic floral, I consider it a very good option for a first date, unless pH ruins it, but in my opinion it’s a superb perfume; it’s not a mass-market scent, quite the opposite, it’s elegant, jovial, and exquisite as Gucci characterises. However, always test on skin because everyone is different.

Regrettably, I must say it didn’t last anything on my skin and it is the EDP. Soft aroma, with herbal and floral notes at the end, I use it for the office; I think it’s not an invasive scent on me. I feel sorry because I expected more from this fragrance.

More than just bamboo green, it smells sweet and woody; elegant yet casual. It smells identical to Jessica Simpson’s I Fancy You on me; I own both and the scent difference is minimal compared to the price, so if you like Gucci Bamboo and want to save money, this is your option.

A very delicate fragrance. The opening has a metallic note that causes a subtle aversion; it takes seconds for the alcohol to settle before the green scent emerges. Then citrusy floral powders rise over a bitter, green base, which lasts the longest and improves the projection. Later it becomes watery and ambered before fading. The bottle is gorgeous; it’s not a realistic bamboo but rather like viewing a landscape of bamboos and flowers from a Japanese wooden house through wet glass. It’s beautiful to behold. I think it’s for personal enjoyment, although it feels a bit distant for conversation. The longevity is good, like a true EDP; it seems it shouldn’t last but it stays on for hours. I apply generously, about six sprays to the neck. It’s almost a meditation perfume, making me think of the echo of a drop in a pond; it’s both watery and earthy. Curiously, that opening reminds me of my grandmother, bringing the scent of her home or her skin, hard to explain. I’m not sure if I’ve finished it, but it brings me so much love that I can’t part with the bottle.

I don’t like it; it doesn’t seem fresh to me, on the contrary, it overwhelms me. I prefer the eau de toilette version, although that lacks longevity and sillage. Definitely, the combination of bergamot and ylang-ylang isn’t for me; the orange blossom, at least on my skin, makes the whole thing bitter. I find the base notes more bearable than the top and heart notes.

I’m currently using it and can’t stop thinking it resembles L’Air de Nina Ricci in the middle notes. Upon application, I feel a blast of freshness and energy that fills me with joy. I also notice a powdery touch in the background that lingers until the end. In the middle phase, the ylang-ylang and orange blossom stand out greatly. I love the final phase, where the amber and sandalwood add warmth and elegance.

What a delightful perfume! A fresh and rich aroma like Gucci’s, only it doesn’t last as long. Yes, it reminds me a lot of the other Gucci one, Flora.
