Reminds me hugely of Maremma by Tiziana Terenzi. Ideal if you enjoy that potent spiced woody opening that then settles into something balsamic and soft. I’d give it a 9 out of 10!

It sounds like Maremma by Tiziana Terenzi. It’s a real cracker for those seeking that strong spiced woody start, which later dries down to be balsamic and soft. I’d rate it a 9 out of 10!

  • This is the perfume I like most from the Rasasi La Yuqawam set. Sharing a well-known secret, LYF has a very similar vibe to Black Orchid by Tom Ford, although they don’t share many notes. Nevertheless, my nose believes LYF is much more harmonious, and despite being unisex, I detect something slightly more feminine due to its sweetness. The opening is a citrus incense that soon blends with the cinnamon and base notes to create a fairly linear scent that has accompanied me throughout its entire wear. The result is a very milky cinnamon aroma that projects well and lasts around 14 hours on skin without fading. Curiously, on my skin it never projects wildly, which is a plus as I don’t like announcing my presence. I perceive it as an intoxicating cold-weather scent, ideal for evening wear. In summary, I am super happy with this purchase and recommend it to all Black Orchid lovers. Perhaps, like me, you will find in this little gem an improvement that will save you a few euros. Pleasant: 9/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 6/10

  • This is my favourite from the La Yuqawam set by Rasasi. An open secret: LYF vibrates similarly to Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, even though they don’t share notes. My nose senses LYF is more harmonious, and despite being unisex, I see it as more feminine due to its sweetness. It opens with citrus incense, which soon blends with cinnamon and the base notes into a linear scent that lasts all day. It’s a very milky cinnamon scent that projects well and lasts 14 hours on skin without becoming overpowering. It never smells beastly, which is a plus as I don’t want to announce my presence. I feel it as a very intoxicating cold scent, better suited for evening wear. In short, I’m super happy and recommend it to Black Orchid lovers. Perhaps, like me, you’ll see in this little gem an improvement that will save you a few quid. Pleasant: 9/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 6/10

  • The top notes don’t quite convince me; the spiced aroma becomes very strong. However, once it dries down, it’s something else entirely. I tried it in summer, and when I used it again in winter, it changed immensely; perfect for a winter afternoon or evening. It has decent projection and on my skin, it lasts from when I first apply it until I return home with a very consistent intensity.

  • The opening notes don’t quite convince me; the spicy aroma feels too strong at first. However, once it dries down, it’s a completely different story. I tried it in summer, but when I tested it again in winter, it changed immensely; it’s perfect for a winter evening. It has decent projection and on my skin, it lasts from the moment I apply it until I return home with a very similar intensity.

  • Exquisite, with spectacular longevity and sillage. It is excessively similar to Black Orchid by Tom Ford, but it definitely has better staying power. The Yucawam pour Femme is the winner.

It reminds me of a rice pudding and cinnamon dessert from my childhood. La Yuqawam Femme on my skin has a powerful opening that is green, powdery, and incense-like, an explosion of spices like pepper and cinnamon with citrus sparkles, which then calms where the yellow flowers bloom. My nose also detects something of jasmine and patchouli (though not listed in the pyramid) interwoven with the balsamic density of sandalwood and a restrained sweetness. It’s a great recommendation for those who don’t want to fork out a fortune for Tom Ford’s Black Orchid but want a similar experience (and arguably better in performance and scent) for a fraction of the price. From there, comparisons are best left to individual taste. Performance is very good, it projects well, and leaves a beautiful, perceptible trail for much of its life. Unisex. Ideal for autumn and winter. Worth trying.

Reminds me of a rice pudding with cinnamon from my childhood. On my skin, Yuqawam Femme starts strong, green, and incense-like, exploding with spices such as pepper and cinnamon, accented by citrus notes. It then settles, allowing yellow flowers to bloom, with hints of jasmine and patchouli woven into the sandalwood and a sweet undertone. Highly recommended if you don’t want to fork out a fortune for the Tom Ford or BO version but desire something similar (and arguably better in performance and scent) for a fraction of the price. Let everyone judge the comparisons themselves. Performance is excellent, it projects well, and leaves a noticeable trail throughout its duration. Unisex. Ideal for autumn and winter. Give it a try.
