A bombshell perfume, nocturnal and with an air of conspiracy. They aren’t the same, but the opening recalls Tom Ford’s Black Orchid or Armaf’s Club de Nuit Intense Woman. As it dries, it softens to reveal a delicious honeyed patchouli. I believe it’s already discontinued; I saw it in a review and by chance picked up the last one in an online store. I still need to test the longevity, but the first impression has been very good. You can certainly feel the hand of master Francis Kurkdjian.
Smells lovely, dense and elegant. I detect a honeyed rose blending with the woods and the creaminess of the Ylang Ylang. In the dry down, the incense marks with a smoky, mysterious touch that I simply adored. Although it reminds me a bit of Black Orchid, Nuit Noor is less aggressive. At first it seems unisex, but once it dries it feels more feminine. On my skin it lasts over 9 hours. Perfect for autumn, winter or for evening wear. It was a blind buy and I absolutely loved it.
Perfume beauty: dense, deep and elegant. I sense a honeyed rose melting with the woods and the creaminess of the Ylang Ylang. In the base, the incense adds that smoky, mysterious touch that I love so much. It has a certain similarity to Black Orchid, but Nuit Noor is less sharp. At first it might seem more unisex, but as it dries I feel it is more feminine. The lasting power on my skin exceeds 9 hours. Ideal for autumn, winter or for evening wear. It was a blind buy and I absolutely loved it.
It has me baffled: I’m not sure if I like it or not, and describing it is a right mess. It has a somewhat serious character; despite the honey notes, it lacks that certain ‘something’, that unexpected twist that would make it unforgettable. It’s quite dense, with a dry rose wrapped in spices, resinous and woody, but ultimately it’s not that complex nor does it evolve clearly; the ylang-ylang is there to nuance, not to shine. It’s more of a semi-oriental scent for night than for day. I’ll see with time if it reveals its more attractive side. Lasting power is correct, trail is moderate. Unisex.
