Greetings, I tried it and it didn’t hook me: that yuzu is too piercing and bitter. I arrived enthusiastic because Loewe’s 7 Natural is fantastic and features yuzu, so I imagined something wonderful, but it wasn’t the case. I think they overdid the note. If you enjoy bitter scents, it’s your option, but I must clarify I’m only judging the opening, as that overwhelming start meant I didn’t continue to check the heart or base.
Greetings, I tried it and didn’t like it: that yuzu is excessively piercing and very bitter. I was excited because Loewe’s 7 Natural seemed excellent to me and has yuzu, so I thought a fragrance featuring this Japanese citrus as the star would be fantastic, but it wasn’t. I believe they overstepped with the note; if you like bitter fragrances, it’s a good option. I clarify that I’m only giving my opinion on the opening, as I didn’t want to know how it develops in the heart and base given that overwhelming start.
Yes, its citrus opening is powerful and bitter, but after 15 or 20 minutes it softens into woody notes without losing that fresh, very summery vibe. Recommended for hot climates; youthful yet mature at the same time. Plus, it’s rare and uncommon, so if you own it, you’ll be unique and not one of the masses wearing the same scent.
On my skin, yuzu and ginger dominate, with cedar and nutmeg in the base. It resembles the original, but this version is more intense in citrus and lacks the herbs and cinnamon. If you already own the classic, there’s no need for this unless you’re a huge Issey fan. Lasts 6 hours, projects for 2; ideal for heat. Costs $60 online. I expected more; I’d give it a 7/10.
What I smell most on my skin is yuzu and ginger; in the base, I notice cedar and nutmeg. It’s very similar to the original, but this Issey is more potent in citrus and misses the herb or cinnamon. If you already have the classic, you don’t need this unless you’re a super fan of the brand. Lasts 6 hours, projects for 2, ideal for heat. Worth $60 online. I expected more; I’d give it a 7/10.
Starts with a sharp acidity that dries down into woody, green notes, retaining that citrus freshness but in a kinder way; perfect for smelling different and leaving a mark.
