  • I first encountered it in a shopping centre in Rio de Janeiro. I was dazzled and fascinated by its opening, but due to my allergies and the overpowering scent in the Natura store, it didn’t seem very long-lasting or surprising once it dried… I didn’t buy it then, but I still remember that initial enchantment. Six months later, I asked a friend who could get it in Brazil. Now I’m testing it again at home, more calmly, and I rediscover that wonderful explosion of mysterious forest in its opening. The plum blends with the lotus and the pripiroca base, creating a true sense of enclosed vegetation, the warm air releasing soft, sweet vapours yet always balanced by the green juices of the roots, woody vapours with light resins so aromatic that it seems there’s a macerated flower hidden between the folds of the bark. That opening is a work of art. It transports you to a Horacio Quiroga story, to a clearing in the middle of the Amazon… When the alcohol dries, the pripiroca gains more body and the plum’s juiciness diminishes considerably. The peonies are well-blended, providing a slight bitter counterpoint (not exactly bitter, but I can’t think of a better term) that balances the green sweetness of this wild forest. Similarly, the tonka bean stands out a little more than the other base notes against the pripiroca; they must be slightly more compatible. Let’s see how long it lasts, but I absolutely love this perfume. It seems like a wonderful work of art. 13/3/19: sprayed a few hours ago on my shirt sleeve, it just reminded me of the scent that rose in the hallway of my mother’s house when we were little girls and, on summer afternoons, played with the hose until all the tiles, plants and walls were wet and/or damp… The summer heat would lift the water while the shade of the block’s central walls protected from the sun… It left a very particular scent of water and earth.

  • It’s the best, one of Natura’s most beautiful scents. I hope they don’t discontinue it. I agree with CarCar.

  • Today was a humid and rainy day, 16 degrees, 102 hPa pressure, little wind, cloudy; I felt it was an ideal day for this fragrance. To feel fully immersed in the Amazon jungle… Aaaaahhhh… P.S.: I sprayed it 5 or 6 times around noon. By 8 pm, people complimented it from a conversational distance, meaning it still smells good and still projects!

  • With Natura, the jungle regains its magic. I bought it blind, trusting its promise, and what a surprise! In its dry-down phase, it instantly transports me back to my old Paramela. Although they don’t share the same notes, that wood and the green touch from Natura are pure Amazonia. It is less fresh than my Paramela, but that dark, virgin jungle atmosphere captivates you from the very first moment. For me, it is 100% unisex. The quality-to-price ratio is good, although the longevity is moderate (I tested it in spring). It is now my favourite.

  • I feel that with this perfume Natura has redeemed itself. I bought it blindly, trusting it wouldn’t disappoint me after advertising it as ‘the magic of the jungle’. And, to my luck, I found an aroma that transported me; in its heart and dry-down phases, it reminded me of the years I used my beloved Paramela. Apparently they don’t share notes, peeeeerooo that wood and Natura’s famous ‘green notes’ are unmistakable, pure Amazonia. This is less fresh than my remembered Paramela, however, that darkness of the virgin jungle catches you from the start. For me, it could be perfectly unisex. Good value for money, although its longevity is moderate, at least on me (I clarify that I tested it in spring). It’s my new favourite.

I bought it without testing it and it disappointed me. I expected something truly woody and found instead something creamy and floral. It has an overdose of tonka bean; behind that, the jasmine dominates the fresher flowers (which are barely noticeable), and the resins are far in the background. This is different from my beloved Priprioca and Copaiba, where the resins were the protagonists. I bought it because Natura promised a woody perfume for women seeking masculine fragrances. I fit into that group, so I didn’t hesitate. I thought: ‘Finally, they read my mind!’, but no… it is a standard feminine perfume from the 2000s: sweet above all, with decorations. It is not gourmand nor fruity, but that creamy vanilla sweetness from the tonka bean mixed with ripe plum. Although they say it is unisex, I don’t believe it; it is very feminine. It might please a man who uses One Million, but every time I wear it, I like it less and now I notice plastic notes. I really recommend trying it before buying.

I bought it without testing it and it disappointed me. I expected a proper woody perfume and found a creamy, floral one instead. It has lots of tonka bean; in the dry-down, it smells of jasmine dominating the fresh flowers (which are almost unnoticeable), and from a distance, some resins are perceived but they are very muted. I say this having loved the Priprioca and Copaiba where those resins were central notes. I bought it because Natura promoted it for women looking for woody perfumes and men buying the masculine ones because they can’t find them in the feminine range. I’m in that group so I didn’t hesitate. I thought: ‘Finally, they read my mind!’ but no… it’s a perfume that doesn’t break away from the standard feminine style of the 2000s: sweet above all else, with everything else as decoration. It’s not gourmand or fruity, but that creamy vanilla sweetness from the tonka bean added to a ripe plum. Despite being labelled unisex, I don’t agree at all (I have several unisex scents and I like them). I bought it partly for that reason. Of course, everyone puts what they like, but this is very feminine; although anyone can wear it, I feel it confuses the idea of unisex. It might suit a man who wears One Million (which is far from what one thinks of as ‘masculine’). P.S.: I tried to win it over all winter and nothing. Every time I use it, I like it less and now I perceive plastic notes. I really recommend testing before buying.

  • Although it’s not the type of perfume I usually look for, Magia de Amazonia truly won me over. On my skin, the copaiba comes out more than the priprioca, so the sweetness of the latter beats the medicinal touch of the former (which sets it apart from Ekos Alma). The real tonka bean enhances that sweetness. Over time, it leaves an earthy touch but still retains that humid forest sweetness. The flowers are barely noticeable, but the woods really shine. I can’t believe such a scent suits me; it doesn’t happen often! It’s ideal for men, a quiet unisex for people who want to blend in with their surroundings. It’s not invasive, has good sillage and longevity. It’s great that it doesn’t have patchouli, which usually doesn’t work on my skin. I think it’s one of the few woody scents to have won my heart.

  • It’s a super pleasant and distinct scent from the rest of Natura, which tend to smell the same. As soon as you smell it, it stays etched in your memory. It smells like a fresh forest; it’s very rich and is the best in the Ekos line. I wish it lasted longer because you have to reapply it during the day. But given the price and the aroma, I recommend it.

  • A civilised jungle. When I tried it, I expected something earthy like Ekos Alma that takes you deep into the jungle, but this Amazonian Magic is more civilised, like the jungle next to a coffee or cocoa plantation, a mix of cultivated plants and humid jungle, with fallen leaves on a damp path starting to compost. That sensation comes from the plum and tonka bean. I’ve liked it but it hasn’t fascinated me as much as Ekos Alma; to me, it’s more feminine than unisex. On my skin, the plum, tonka bean, prurioca, and copaiba are very noticeable; the flowers seem to have gone to more civilised gardens, giving a liquorish, sweet, and woody aroma. As I’ve tried it on a sunny day, I’m not sure yet if I like it entirely; I’ll try it on a humid day to see its performance.

  • They gave it to me as a gift and, to be honest, it’s not a scent I enjoy. It’s not bad, but it’s not my style. I prefer gourmand, sweet, and oriental scents. To me, it’s citrusy, woody, and too green. If it evokes what was promised, a rain-soaked rainforest, I’d enjoy it, but I’d rather give it to someone else.

  • It was a gift and the truth is, it is not my style. It is not bad, but I am into gourmand, sweet, and oriental scents. For me, it is citrusy, woody, and too green. If it evokes what it promises, a rain-soaked jungle forest, that is fine, but I would prefer to give it to someone else who will enjoy it more.

  • I loved it and had never smelled anything like it before! It is impressive: like a cube of aromatic wood burning without being overwhelming. It truly takes you to the jungle without seeming like a hippie perfume. I cherished it so much that it lasted for ages, and in the end, I lost it on a trip. I would love to have it again!

I loved it and had never smelled anything like it before. Impressive. It’s like having a piece of aromatic wood burning without being overwhelming; it truly transports you to the jungle without being a hippie perfume. I cherished it so much it lasted a long time, but I lost it while travelling. I want to get it again.

  • Delicious perfume! From my entire collection, I choose this over any other. I bought it blind and it was a total success. It’s less demanding than many others and doesn’t ask for anything, but nothing surpasses it. As its name suggests, it’s pure magic, being in a sweet, woody, magical jungle; I’ve never tried anything like it. I hope they never discontinue it.

  • Just as the pyramid states: aromatic, woody, floral, earthy, balsamic, and sweet. I wore it at 35 degrees and finally enjoyed it. What good it is to find something that isn’t just citrus and pepper for the heat. Cold or rain depresses me, so this summer it will do its magic. I find it floral and feminine, with a soft balsamic base that doesn’t quite convince me. With heat, the earthy and woody notes come out, and its aromatic aspect makes it fresh.

  • Smells of earth, rain, and resin. If you close your eyes, it’s like it has rained in the jungle. The copaiba balsam is very noticeable, mixed with a real aquatic rain scent, creating that resinous petrichor aura. It’s an interesting scent, smelling more niche than many perfumes that claim to be so. Natura offers interesting olfactory experiences. It’s not a common scent; try before buying as it’s very particular.

  • I’m not an expert in fragrances, but it reminds me of a classic I can’t recall the name of. It’s not a common scent, smells lovely for use almost all year round. The downside is that it’s very alcoholic when first sprayed. Once it dries down, it does evoke wet earth, but only when it’s very close to the skin. It lasts about 4 hours on my skin. I like it very much, but sometimes when I wear it, I don’t feel it.

  • A. S. Flores

It feels balsamic, woody, and sweet, without being cloying. Although it’s a bit irritating to the nose at first, it’s a lovely and elegant perfume, ideal for work meetings.

  • Bought it without hesitation, looking for something new. It’s woody with a sweet tonka bean note that I absolutely adore. Smells of nature, evoking that Amazonian atmosphere suggested by its name. I wear it after a shower on hot days, for sleeping, yoga, or quiet moments. It’s a zen perfume, for personal enjoyment, that brings me harmony. It doesn’t project much, but it lasts several hours on the skin (around 5 hours, not bad for an EDT). Although I prefer more intense scents, I like to have it as a soft option for spring and summer.

  • It is sweet and woody, it makes you feel surrounded by nature as its name says. I love perfumes that transport you somewhere and this one is wonderful. It is an interesting proposal with good longevity and sillage.

  • LeslieGV1504

Since I tried the sample I liked it very much. It smells elegant, woody and sweet, definitely like a forest after the rain.

  • I have had it for a short time and I like that it makes me feel in nature. My teenage son tried it and said it is different and elegant, almost like Crystal Noir.

  • Paula Guerrero

A friend gave it to me when I reminded her of Mugler’s Alien. Longevity is medium and I have loved it for humid or rainy days. By the way, they share wood and jasmine.

  • Cherrylicious

I love it because it brings me the scent of childhood bubbles, but with a touch of forest. It is rare, exotic and doesn’t resemble anything I have. I like it very much.

  • I bought it blind following the review and tried it at 34 degrees: fatal mistake. It was a sweet smell of sun-dried plum mixed with copaiba balsam. But when it dropped to 16 degrees, I fell in love again! The fresh green scent of wet cedar and subtle florals make the difference. In Buenos Aires, I recommend only for cold weather. It doesn’t last long, but it delivers and is innovative.

  • A woody and sweet aroma, like tree resin, ferns and plants. It smells different and awakens the senses. It is like the heavy air after a rain in the jungle, that sweet, earthy and green mix of Brazilian flora after a storm. I love it to relax or just after a bath.

  • FlorFanatica

I fell in love at first sight. It is exactly what I was looking for: a little unisex, sweet and perfect for the night. Just have to apply a little, because otherwise it overwhelms.

  • This is a crack for mixing! I bought it blind and it didn’t grab me at first. Until I read it reminded me of Alien and combined it with something floral: magic! It adds density and even prolongs longevity. On its own it is woody, resinous and a bit dirty, which took the fun out of using it, but mixed with white or fruity florals it becomes deep and addictive. Definitely I keep it always to give an autumnal touch to light fragrances.

  • I tried it as a decant, and although it is unisex and very original, it just doesn’t convince me. It smells too sweet and masculine, although occasionally I see elegance for special occasions.
