Descripción

Ryo Vivo by Natura is an aquatic floral fragrance for men and women. This creation, launched in 2024, was designed by Verônica Kato and Yves Cassar. In its opening, the composition unfolds notes of orange, grapefruit, priprioca, and pataqueira. The heart of the fragrance reveals a cascade (headspace) of orange blossom, jarana flower, rose, and jasmine. To finish, the base notes offer a balsamic dry-down with copaiba balsam, cedar, and breu-branco.

The perfume’s name already tells us it’s for men, ‘Ryo Vivo’, and if it’s for men like ‘Humor: Paz e Humor’ or ‘Le Male’ by JPG (saving obvious quality differences). It reminded me of the perfume from the same era as the launch of ‘Paz e Humor’, which is ‘Homem Especiarias’. I don’t see any woman wearing this perfume because it’s masculine, but it is one that women will enjoy smelling, especially in spring. If a woman likes it, I recommend more the freshness of Pataqueira or Pitanga Preta, which are more feminine and will catch a man’s attention when he smells them. But tastes vary, as do colours, so it’s up to each person. Regards.

The name says it all: ‘Ryo Vivo’ is for men, just like ‘Humor: Peace and humour’ or the ‘Homem Especiarias’ from JPG (obviously, the quality is another matter). It reminded me of perfumes from that era. I don’t see any women wearing it because it’s masculine, but I’m sure women would like it, especially in spring. If a woman likes it, she might prefer the freshness of Pataqueira or Pitanga Preta, which are more feminine and will catch a man’s attention. Everyone has their own tastes, greetings.

  • Delightful fragrance! Fresh, cheerful, clean… I’d say it’s feminine to unisex. I recommend it!

  • What a lovely fragrance! Fresh, cheerful and clean, with a feminine touch that works perfectly for unisex wear. Highly recommended!

  • I bought all three and am posting the review for RYO FESTA here because it doesn’t exist on this site. It’s a herbal fragrance, smelling of grass and then earth; it’s not bad, but it’s very much in the line of Humor a Dois and Sr. N, so it doesn’t add anything new. Its performance isn’t good; it should be tested in heat because it’s fresh here in Argentina now; don’t expect an Ecos Alma, it doesn’t project and the longevity on my skin and my wife’s was only about two hours, four if you search for it with a magnifying glass. It seems more of a fresh Ecos than a perfume, but its value is almost 59,000 pesos. I disagree that it’s masculine; there are no notes or aromas a woman couldn’t wear if she likes Ryo Vivo: also very soft, low projection and longevity. It’s a pleasant and fresh perfume, but in my case I sense a note I can’t stand; it reminds me of naphthalene, a drawer or wardrobe of a great-grandmother; luckily it fades away along with the perfume. My wife, however, liked it, so it’s something personal to me, but don’t buy it without trying it. For me, it’s a feminine perfume, at most a feminine unisex. At the selling price of these perfumes (59,000 pesos), I don’t recommend them at all, no matter how much sellers hype them up. I’ve always been a fan of Natura for years, but the latest launches have disappointed me and the prices have risen a lot in Argentina, matching Arab brands; even worse, they removed discounts from good lines like Homem and Essencial, which is a grave mistake.

  • This is my favourite from the entire collection. It feels floral and aquatic, not layered but linear: it opens with fresh flowers and settles into cedar. It’s simple, clean, with a light floral note that becomes slightly sweet. The aesthetic is beautiful and organic. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something complex or empowering; it’s a very delicate EDT. I find it expensive and prefer other Natura lines.

  • This is my favourite from the collection. I think it’s floral and watery; I don’t feel it in layers, more linear: it comes out with fresh watery flowers and settles on cedar. For me, it’s a simple, clean fragrance with a floral tone that becomes slightly sweet. The aesthetic is beautiful, organic and simple. I wouldn’t recommend it if you like complex and empowering fragrances; it’s a very fresh and delicate EDT. I find it expensive; I prefer other Natura lines.

  • What is this?! Not in a bad way, but it reminds me a lot of the Rose Goldea Blossom Delight by Bvlgari (please confirm if this is true or just my own ideas). The opening is a bit more herbal, but it feels citrusy and the rose appears and disappears. As I knew the Rose Goldea and was looking for a dupe, I think it resembles it quite a bit, but it has very low projection and the longevity is weak. I like that the jasmine doesn’t feel too strong because I hate it; I think it’s well balanced. I give it a 7/10.

  • What on earth is this?! Not in a bad way, but it reminds me a lot of Bvlgari’s Rose Goldea Blossom Delight (please confirm if this is accurate or just my impression). The opening is a bit more herbal yet citrusy, and the rose appears and disappears. Knowing Rose Goldea and looking for a dupe, I think it’s quite similar, but it has very low projection and the longevity is weak. I’m glad the jasmine isn’t too noticeable because I hate it; I think it’s well balanced. I’d give it 7/10.

  • It smells like a lovely rose on my skin, nothing groundbreaking. In fact, it reminds me of some Kaiak fragrances and also the pink EDP Narciso Rodriguez, only this one with citrus. Now I agree that Natura has better ones, much better. And I’ll take the opportunity to say that Chuva is a lovely green citrus, like the green found in some Chanel perfumes such as 19 or Cristal, though I can’t recall which one. Still, when I come across creations like these, it happens to me the same as when I see a film with super good actors, cinematography, etc., and tragically the film is very bad. When they throw money at making a bad film… well, that’s exactly what happened with these Natura novelties, blaa 😔

A versatile fragrance for any weather and occasion, relaxed yet neat and serious. It’s unisex, though the rose note gives it a feminine touch. The performance is good on my wife’s skin, but on me it was ‘meh’, disappearing in two hours. Given the price, it’s worth it: it’s a Swiss Army knife for men and women, adding floral/rose nuances for women and woody/balsamic ones for men, to whom I recommend reapplying every two or three hours (7/10).

  • Natura isn’t really my style; I feel they repeat themselves too much, the longevity and projection are terrible, and the fact that they dry down cleanly just puts me off. Ryo Vivo starts off citrusy with a rich sweetness, then moves to a watery floral that suits it well, but it dries down clean as if I’d washed with scented soap. It frustrates me because I thought it would be great for heat or for sleeping in, but I simply can’t stand the soapy smell. At first I thought it was masculine, but it’s totally unisex.

  • Natura isn’t my style; I feel there are many similar scents, and the longevity and projection are terrible. The insistence on clean dry-downs kills my enthusiasm. Ryo Vivo has a citrus opening with a rich, subtle sweetness, then the aquatic floral note comes through nicely and dries down clean, as if I’d just had a perfumed soap. It annoys me that it ends this way because I thought it looked lovely for heat, after a shower, or for sleeping, but I simply can’t stand the soap aroma. At first I thought it was masculine, but it’s totally unisex.

  • What a fresh and different scent! Subtle and soft, it’s a real relief on hot days. Although I wouldn’t buy it blindly, I smell lime and think the citrus blend evokes that fruit, with a hint of lychee in the air.
