  • A magnificent fusion from the house that truly captivates me. Delicious from start to finish. In my opinion, it’s an adult, sensual gourmand, very almond-sweet without crossing any lines. The trail is wide and the longevity is fabulous. On my skin, boozy caramelised spice notes and that unique floral touch of heliotrope really stand out. It’s wonderful, enveloping and very alluring. The cocoa isn’t noticeable as such but adds its magic and exoticism. Nothing I own or have ever smelled comes close. No waste. Unisex. Best for cold or fresh weather. This and Brocéliande from the same house are two magnificent olfactory jewels for lovers of sweet, spicy and overwhelming scents.

  • At first, I didn’t like it; on the skin, it smells like olive oil. But it passes quickly, revealing almond, cherry, liqueur and a hint of oud, becoming much more pleasant. The almond and cherry notes are effects of the heliotrope, a curious flower that offers different aspects depending on how it’s handled. Besides the cherry note, it adds a powdery touch. You can also detect hints of spices and tobacco leaf. When dried, it leaves a delicious vanilla and rum base without losing the cherry. In its final phase, it reminds me of my favourite discontinued cherry scent, Modern Muse Le Rouge Gloss, which combines cherry, vanilla and leather. The trail is moderate-to-notable and lasts over 10 hours on skin. Sweet but dark, it’s perfect for evening wear. However, without spending the decant and becoming fully enamoured (which I doubt, as I’ve used it many times without changing my mind), I haven’t liked it enough to buy a full bottle. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value for money 5.5/10, Versatility 6/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? No.

This perfume is olfactory magic. At first, sweet cherry and almond; surely it is heliotrope, or perhaps Sora Dora did not declare all the notes. This sweetness is neutralised by excellent-quality leather that does not soil the scent but merely darkens it, making it provocative, especially with rum, cocoa, and fine woods. It is not linear; the protagonist changes: sometimes cherry with vanilla, other times cherry and woods, and at others, powdery cherry and leather. I like it so much that I wish it were more potent and long-lasting; on skin it lasts 8 hours, and on clothes much longer. Beautiful from the packaging to the scent. Definitely unisex, spiced with a gourmand touch, but I do not think it is a safe blind buy. Fortunately for me, it is: I have to rotate it because I always gravitate towards it. Of the five Brocéliande scents I have tried, this is my favourite, although the second place is occupied by different perfumes: sometimes this one, sometimes my beloved Mandorle, sometimes Rouge Orchid (I only have a vial) or Kamel Oud.

  • Mandorle de Sora Dora is sweet and gourmand, opening with rum and alcohol sweetened by caramel and vanilla. It is always accompanied by a fine, elegant suede that adds a touch of leather. The fragrance shifts constantly like a cycle: notes emerge, hide, and return. The cocoa varies in intensity, adding spice and sweetness to make it more gourmand and attractive. Like the suede, there is another intense and constant note: almond or cherry, probably due to benzaldehyde. The downside: irritation on the neck upon spraying; intense burning. Possible allergen, but this is an isolated case. In broad terms: sweet, elegant, nocturnal, dense, and very attractive. Lasts 6-9 hours with moderate projection.

I took my time discovering it but what a perfume. Wow. Almond-cherry not overly sweet vanilla-infused with a strong rum presence that sometimes reminds me of PDM’s Herod (if only they’d added more fruit). It’s dense yet characterful with a talc note from heliotrope. For me the star alongside the cherry is the suede or leather: very noticeable and potent even a bit dirty/animalic at first then softening as it dries down to become creamy and sweet. 100% unisex autumnal/winter perfect for going out at night because it’s seductive. Lasts 8–10 hours on skin with wide projection for the first 3–4 hours. I won’t buy it for now because 1) I already have my favourite cherry scent Rouge Smoking and 2) I already have a sexy leather fragrance for going out Absolute Aphrodisiac. But I’d love to own it and won’t rule it out for the future.

  • It’s a seductive enveloping niche fragrance perfect for cold weather or special occasions. It smells of almond-cherry and liquorish with a vanilla touch and a hint of talc later joined by leather and cocoa that darken the scent. Very sexy and unisex with good projection though pricey (even as an EDP not an Extrait). Sora Dora is expensive but its proposal is interesting and high quality. P.S.: It has a vibe similar to Sugar Leather; if you compare them dry you’ll understand what I mean.

  • It’s a seductive and enveloping niche scent, perfect for cold weather or special occasions. It opens with a marzipan cherry and vanilla note, touched by talc, before leather and cocoa deepen the fragrance. Very sexy, unisex, and with excellent projection. Although it’s pricey (it’s an EDP, not an Extrait), the quality and concept from Sora Dora justify the cost. P.S.: It has a resemblance to Sugar Leather; if you compare them dry, you’ll notice the difference.
