It opens with a super ripe, realistic mango paired with patchouli, then suddenly a rose emerges, enveloping everything with mossy notes on my skin. It’s gorgeous; I fell in love with this house. It’s a 10 out of 10, buy it blind, and it was instant love. It’s not one of my favourites, but I absolutely adored it.
First, let me say that criticism need not be offensive to anyone who worked on this. Please forgive the audacity of a perfume-loving consumer. Mangonifiscent is neither good nor bad, as some claim. If its opening were to last forever, I’d live in it, but unfortunately, this tart, cheerful mango fades after an hour, giving way to a repetitive, synthetic floral-woody phase reminiscent of ‘Oud-???’ that raises false hopes. In the end, in under four hours, it settles into a skin scent smelling of baby powder with a vanilla hint. The greatness lies in the opening. If your wallet can afford it and you can tolerate its poor performance, it will smile back at you, but other brands like Body Shop have already achieved this in their body mists or soaps.
