I love trying to reconstruct a perfume’s history; old-school classics retain that vintage, nostalgic charm, even if they are timeless today. They have adapted slightly to current tastes but jealously guard the soul of their era. It’s only for those seeking a great story that Masculin Acier is a bygone elixir: citrusy, masculine and potent, with lavender, herbs, wood and a touch of white honey sweetness that makes the experience unique, especially at the outset. It is strong, sharp and very masculine, with character, yet also ‘dangerous’ for unaccustomed noses; it recalls Tenere by Paco Rabanne, works that defy time and use a language not everyone understands today. I loved it; it certainly conveys strength. (Thanks, Josesan)
