I picked it up for five dollars out of curiosity. I’m waiting to write the full review. For now, I’ll clarify that the ‘hot lava’ scent isn’t literal; it’s a woody and spicy accord. Very clever marketing strategy.
I’ll be brief: it’s a sweet, warm spicy. Lasts about 6 hours on skin and projects very little. I wouldn’t buy it again; I’m sure I’ll gift it. It’s not that it’s bad, but with a minimal collection, I just don’t feel the urge to use it.
Sweet, that’s the keyword. At first, the apple stands out with a hint of lemon in the background, a lovely transition. These top notes last no more than 15 minutes in my case. Then the spicy notes take control and finish with a creamy scent on the skin. Performs better at night, but be careful with the drops as it can become cloying. Regarding the lava, yes, it has that burning note you’d imagine, but I can’t define it 100%. On my skin, it lasts over 3 hours. I live in a warm city, and during the day the longevity drops by at least an hour or two compared to the night.
Starts with a sharp pineapple and sour apple, then drops to reveal a subtle synthetic flower with musk. The clove makes a very marked appearance after two hours before disappearing. I wouldn’t buy it again; I got it because they say it activates strongly in the heat, which I haven’t noticed. It’s a very synthetic scent, but it does smell nice.
Imagine a barbecue with the wood alight, a touch extra, a pineapple and roasted lemons alongside strong incense. All of that mixes with a boozy, slightly earthy, almost asphaltic touch, and it smells wonderfully creamy. Lasts 5 to 6 hours. In the first two hours there are bursts of scent, then it softens but remains present. A good perfume.
Hello, I grabbed it on sale and I loved it. On my skin, it’s perfect for the cold, but I see it as super unisex for a bloke too. If you like spices, you’ll adore it. The trail and longevity are moderate, but for the price, it’s brilliant. If it were more intense and long-lasting, I’d go mad and put it in my favourites, although I’ve been wearing it for 6-7 hours and it’s still there.
Just picked this up, and although it’s a catalogue item, it caught me by surprise. For the price, it’s a beast and smells like rich food. Ideal for autumn and winter. The only thing it lacks is longevity and projection, but the first few hours are a delight with that super creamy nutmeg. The Avon Musk line has surprised me, though its longevity is its Achilles’ heel.
