Musk Light, the one they no longer sell. I wore it in 1981 straight after finishing secondary school in Argentina. People would shower me with compliments for its rich, sensual scent. Once, at a catalogue shop, they didn’t have it, so I swapped it for Musk Intense, but I didn’t like it as much. Years later, by pure chance, I stumbled upon Musk+ and what a surprise! It’s almost identical to my old Musk Light. Putting it on transports me back to my youth, to those 18-year-old days ❤️

I tried the Avon Musk and it’s elegant, smelling of musk, leather and citrus, but I’ve tried other Axe and Yanbal Musk scents and guess what? They all smell exactly the same.

I have the ‘current’ bottle, which is more square than the classic rectangular one. It says ‘Musk+’, but it’s the only one almost identical on the web. It was my previous fragrance before the current one. I assume I must have been gifted an Avon Musk a couple of times during my adolescence. But now, at 40, I received it last Christmas and only started using it a few months ago when my Mediterranean ran out. It’s not to my liking now. It should be the other way round; now that I’m older. I used it just to avoid going anywhere without perfume. Its opening is very aggressive to my nose. Although after two hours it’s only skin-scented and lasts about 3-4 hours. Not recommended for summer.
Rouge
The bottle says lavender, not bergamot or neroli. It clearly smells of musk, an elegant and warm scent, although the latest versions have a fresh touch. It’s POTENT, lasts forever, and lingers a long time; it’s very masculine, old-school style.

The packaging clearly states it contains lavender, not bergamot or neroli. Obviously, if it smells strongly of musk, which is an elegant and warm scent, but also, in the more recent batches, has a fresh touch. POTENT, this perfume lasts a long time and lingers a lot, it’s very old-school masculine.

It’s a fragrance that gives the impression of being elegant, not for young people unless they wear a suit and tie; I see it more on mature people over 30. It’s delicious but has a certain 80s vibe. For its price, it’s wonderful; you can’t ask for more value for money.

My daily winter fragrance. Sometimes I even use it to walk around the house on a rest day watching Netflix and eating snacks. Super economical and manly. I won’t elaborate on the notes as the colleagues below have said it better than me. If you’re like me, more of a vintage vibe, and perfumes with vanilla and tonka bean aren’t your thing, you should buy this. Cheers community.

The scent is very delicious, pity it can’t be found anymore as this classic has been discontinued.

The scent is very delicious, what a pity this classic is no longer available as they’ve taken it out of stock.

One of Avon’s classics. The latest formulation has a lavender note in the opening along with something like a pinch of mint. The interesting thing is that after the opening notes, I feel it goes straight to the base notes of musk and leather. The musk seems more balanced than before, and the leather has quite good longevity on the skin. I apply it in the morning and about 5 to 6 hours later, with a movement of my arms, I still feel a slight leather note that makes me smell my wrist to make sure it’s the perfume and it is. Finally, the trail is softer compared to previous formulations, but it remains a good perfume given its low price.

An Avon legend. The current version opens with lavender and a mentholated touch, but soon goes straight to the base musk and leather. The musk balance is better than before, and the leather lasted six hours on my skin; when I move my arms, I can still smell the leather and have to check my wrist to confirm it’s still there. The trail is softer than in previous editions, but for the price, it remains a hit.

I loved it, I saw it in an Avon magazine and honestly I have no regrets. It has a very strong and exquisite scent, reminding me of leather! It’s very seductive and manly. 9/10

Bloody hell, what a joke those people are for complaining about the musk in a perfume called Musk. What did they want? I have fond memories of the 90s formula… I haven’t tried this one, but I really fancy it because nowadays musk is my favourite note.

I have very fond memories of this perfume. It goes very well for its price and quality. Rating: 7/10.

I have very fond memories of this classic. It’s excellent for its price-to-quality ratio. Rating: 7/10.

It’s cheap and smells accordingly. I think it lacked balance in its notes or didn’t include others to avoid the musk being so overpowering. In my opinion, it would be the last thing I’d wear, even if it’s not a cheapie; it just smells common and ordinary.

It smells nice, but the excess of musk and leather gives me a bit of a headache. Despite being cheap, its longevity is incredibly long-lasting.

It smells nice, but it’s a bit dizzying because the musk and leather are so prominent. For the price, its longevity is incredibly long-lasting.
