Far Away Splendoria by Avon

To me, it smells of coconut and shea butter, like those Coquitas biscuits. I quite like it, although I had just tried it.

At first, right after receiving it as a gift, I sprayed it and the first 15 minutes were torture: strong and horrible. Then it became more pleasant. I left it for a month, sprayed it again, and now it’s exquisite from the start. Woods and vanilla. Lasts and projects for 5-6 hours. Edition 16/04/2025: I was given a huge surprise; more macerated, more exquisite and better performance. I’m not lying, I wore it at 9 am and at 4 pm it’s still super present. It’s a gem, I hope they never reformulate it.

Exquisite and sophisticated. I’ve liked it more than others with oud, a trendy note. It smells expensive, refined and clean, like for a CEO, with a tailored suit and high heels or ballet flats, to ensure you don’t go unnoticed.

I haven’t tried it on myself, but it looks spectacular on my girlfriend. Even if it’s rare, she uses it as a signature. I find it delicious. Even if it’s her perfume, I wouldn’t recommend it as much as a signature; there are better options. It’s an Eau de Parfum with good performance. Although the projection drops, it invites closer smelling, especially that clean white floral part at the end. If you’re looking for something that smells excellent, with acceptable performance and an economical price, yes, I recommend it.

I’m not sure what the difference is between this white oud and dry oud; I really don’t have any perfume with this wood as a reference, but I must say what my nose (not expert) distinguishes as wood: it’s fine, delicate and elegant. I recommend using it on very cold nights or it will give you a headache. It’s a complex perfume despite the four declared notes; I feel there’s much more. If you don’t like dark, deep and different scents, it’s not for you; if plum isn’t your favourite note either. I think it offers more than it’s worth and smells better than it costs. Despite being economical, if your favourite sport isn’t blind buying like mine, try it before purchasing.

Far Away Splendoria isn’t for everyone. While it promises few notes, it smells like a floral-woody labyrinth where the wood isn’t warm, but that strange, hard-to-define oud, with a touch of grey amber not listed on the label. The vanilla isn’t there, but rather that plum and white flowers that clean the air. It’s not soapy or powdery; the gardenia balances everything with elegance. It’s its own version of Poison: deep and mysterious, not a dupe, but something rare for wearing very dressed up at night. It’s not for everyone, just like Royale; both are strange but distinct. Some link it to Alien (yes, it’s a distant cousin) or Rare Pearls (but nothing alike, I hate the latter). The longevity is brutal: it lasted me 12 hours from morning until the next day, though by the end it was only on the skin. The projection is moderate; in summer it can be overwhelming, but in cool weather, 4 sprays are enough. For those over 25, nothing juvenile or granny-like, simply for women. A jewel, but test before buying.

Far Away Splendoria by Avon smells spicy, oriental, and woody; as it dries down, it reveals gardenia and vanilla. Blend it with Far Away Royale and Rare Pearls. It’s serious and formal, perfect for special nights and cold weather. The trail is moderate and lasts 3-6 hours. Best for those over 25.

I’ve been fascinated by it! I recommend it 100%. It doesn’t resemble the original Far Away; its opening and heart are strong, striking, and alcoholic. I’m a man but it smells unisex and lasts forever.
