This perfume has an exquisite opening; in my opinion, the blend of mature or dry citrus with cinnamon gives me the sensation of eating anise sweet, even though it’s not listed in the notes, I could swear it smells like that at first. As it dries down, a resinous (myrrh), woody fragrance and a non-aggressive incense become noticeable, which shows it is well-constructed and uses quality ingredients. Longevity and sillage are moderate.

Looking for myrrh and labdanum? You’ve found it. It’s a honeyed scent, very ambered, with a strong patchouli that drives the resinous blend. Myrrh always has a slightly sweeter edge than other resins, and together they give the perfume a ‘handcrafted’ feel—something primitive, liturgical and slow.
