Ajmal Mystery is a brilliant find in Arabic perfumery with a Western soul. It opens with a super-clean citrus and a zesty bergamot, but what sets it apart from the ‘blues’ is that herbal thyme note in the heart. As it dries down, the patchouli and cedar lend a maturity you won’t find in a Dylan Blue or a Sauvage. It’s elegant, serious, and incredibly versatile. Lasts well for 6-7 hours with a moderate trail. For the price, the bottle and scent feel high-end. Totally recommended for the office.

I received a decant and hated it. The opening is rich, fresh, and citrusy, but as it dries down it smells so synthetic and unpleasant that it gives me a headache.

It’s a citrus fragrance where bergamot takes charge and stays that way. Then the magic happens: a very soft patchouli appears alongside the cedar. Perfect for going out at night or for daytime wear. It has real character.
